I am currently growing and testing the f2', and the overall impression is, the Mango funk male is successful in making stink mango and baby shit smelling offspring. The "Trop-a-rocka" mother plant pollenated with it has also passed the sweet mango/cinnamon/black tea flavors along but to a lesser degree, as they mature the stink is becoming less pronounced and the spicy rotten Mango smells are developing an earthy whisky barrel cork smell.

The Croquembouche male is producing the best smelling cannabis I've ever grown, reminds me of the grandmother of this polyhybrid (Plushberry x Cuvee f2).
This male was the most "true breeding" male in this batch as 3/4% of the offspring share this phenotype to a strong degree in f2's 😳, which is rare to see, usually can expect greater variation. The landrace thai parentage shows, sweet matcha/green tea, creamy vanilla, some of the Malawi spiciness is also easy to see, the cinnamon/nutmeg flavors and the sweet caramel and coffee from the cuvee, it smells like a caramel/vanilla spiced coffee with sweet green tea flavor that sticks around and penetrates the sugary earthy coffee notes. I can see this being the final win er just by smell.

The final group is the "bourguingon/sticky" male and these are overall like a wooden/smokey meaty and earthy sweet carrot smell to them, then the sweet red wine and thyme/herbs as the last thing to notice, which are sweet as apposed to the musky/meaty haze like smell that permeates the tops of the seedlings.

These are all odorous in different ways, some savory and some sweet.

Recessive "Caramel/Butter Toffee" phenotypes are showing up in the (Haribo x Bourguingon) f2 offspring

Unlike the f1, the f2s appear to be lightly pink colored, mostly green phenotypes like the mother plant (Haribo phenotype).

I believe I have 2 males and 2 females of this phenotype in roughly 150 seeds, the males begin flowering phase in one week, cloning them first and moving females outdoors for testing, I am selecting for phenotypes that can thrive in my local NY bog environment.

F3s are going to be ready by year end.

The "Mango Funk" Malawi pheno has very distinct offspring, which I believe are the key to making my own "Orange Skunk". The offspring have all developed a Citrusy Mandarin Orange smell coupled with diarrhea/fecal acids. The "Shit" smell is like sewage fumes and diself fuel. It's one of the stinkiest varieties I've grown, in a unique way too, and seems the male is also true breeding, as I've seen this pheno true among 40% of the testers. I expect to find one quality female phenotype to match the multiple males I have sequestered about to enter flowering.

F3s seem like a no-brainer.

I've found the black walnut/Spruce Tip phenotypes are also represented well in the (Haribo/Bourguignon)f2's, although spicier than the f1 generation, funkier too, less sweet more savory. These were hashplant phenotypes with excellent potency but higher than average intersex traits, late term bananas so nothing compromising to quality, but I didn't breed using them for that reason, these appear to be a recessive f2 expression I have several Bice examples of this time.

I also found a "Melonberry Musk" phenotype from the grandmother's generation express itself in these f2's, smells like watermelon jolly ranchers, hickory smoke and bourbon. Very sweet/savory/tangy, if I can find a female of this same phenotype I think I have another potential winner.

I've now separated the majority of the f2 males, I have about 18 males I plan to clone and flower soon to collect pollen for f3 production.

So far I have these phenotypes and their female counterpart to make f3's with.

Malawi dominant-

-Mango Carrot
-Mango Carrot Soda
-Carrot Soda
-Carrot Cake/Pumpkin spice

Thai Dominant

-Haribo
-Black walnut(lemon lime spice)
-Sweet Green Tea 🍵
-Matcha Mocha/Vanilla 🍵
-Croquembouche
-Apple Pie 🥧

Co-dominant phenotypes
-"Bourgingon" meaty stew/umami/red wine/herbs/spice. This was the pheno I used for the f2 generation in earnest, I have several males who look and smell very similar.

Miso Soup- very umami in smell, savory funky and nutty, oily smell. Like a miso broth!

Favorite recessive phenotypes from f1 generation which expressed themselves in the current f2's with several males available to make some f3's.

Haribo- fruity thai sativa.

Chocolate Cherry Tootsie Pop - hybrid hashplant.

Orange Marmalade- hybrid

Butter Toffee/caramel spice- Sativa indica Hybrid, high potency!

This is a "Bourguignon" phenotype in the f2's, with more indica variation, it smells strong and has a stickybstem rub like it's father 👍 greasey, meaty, red wine, wood smoke, spices(cardamom/ginger/black pepper) it's got the malawi "spice" terps and resin starting to show at the start of flower.20240723_133257.jpg20240723_133354.jpg
The Mandarin funky phenotype now smells like rotten oranges and vomit 🤢 still worth seeing what it has to show.

These faster flowering phenotypes have a fair amount of indica more than the f1's if they're flowering faster. I plan to reverse all of these males at some point to smoke them and see what they're chemotype is.

20240726_134439.jpgIMG_20240727_140614.jpgI tossed a few open-pollenated f2 seeds from last falls harvest into my yard, testing to see if any had the ability to thrive in the local environment, only one plant survived, smells like the Golden Tiger Thai phenotype - sweet Green tea, sour green apple, lime rind, sesame oil. Tough as nails, so far I've done nothing to assist it's survival. Seems resistant to local pests so I'll pollinated the lowers with an f2 male if I can, I would like to have the indoor male selections pollenate the outdoor resilient females for a f3 that thrives outside for next season.

Looking lovely amigo, she has a nice frame.
Look forward to seeing what it produces, I took two clones and have them in quarantine until I see what kinds of smoke it produces, and i will i troduce it to my indoor garden for seed making. so far its the toughest plant in my outdoor garden, the bugs get a few bites and then give up.

Leaf hoppers basically gave up. A good sign for me, i want something I can grow again outside next year and get similar or superior results.

My male selections are finishing this week, I will re-veg the best looking males and clone them, I plan to save their pollen for the future if I can find several hood males, I will sacrifice the lowers of my outdoor phenotype for f3's with outdoor potential.
I have so far these phenotypes as males

Haribo (Thai dominant)
Cherry thai(spacequeen/thai hybrid)
Ginger Beer male(late sex male)
Mango-Carrot Soda(Malawi dominant)
Peanut Butter & Jelly(Hybrid)
Rosewater/lavendar candy(Plushberry dominant)

20240821_105748.jpgSwamp gas phenotype, overhead smells are like someone sprinkled cinnamon on an outhouse, stem rub is roadkill and swamp gas.

Malawi phenotype, unique among this parental line, rare in f1's but I have seen this phenotype before and I wish to utilize it for f3 production, it is a very tough to kill male plant, a few of its outside counterparts snapped under a recent storm and this lone survivor is just showing off its toughness for this region, which I will need if I want to successfully breed outdoor suitable seed lines in the near future.

Did some watering and sniff tests, the lights just went out at the room smells like green grapes/white wine and tropical fruits, this room smells better than the f1's did 🤭 not that those smelled bad but I'm one month into flower for some of these and they're performing really well, I need to transfer several into larger pots but I will have to move a few outdoors to make room. Crowded is putting it lightly.
