That’s where they grow from just keep an eye on it for the yellow banner sticking Out of it then pluck the Whole pod right off and put it back is what I did on my last few runs. My last run had a nanner clump under every bud site. Surprisingly I think I got them all cause I got no seeds so far. Or maybe they were all blanks idk. I got lucky so far u seem to be in the clear tooI am nut sack paranoid....plant maleophobic.
Sure fire, No. But they're part of the plants structure and are perfectly normally. You would still want to be diligent just as you always would be in watching for hermaphroditism during your grow. But they're not something that indicates a likely hood or higher possibility of nanners if that makes sense. So hairs coming out is not a sure-fire indicator of female. I am seeing a few of these as well right now. They're tight and not opened up yet, I don't think I saw bananas.
@Phylex what are your thoughts on the small red lights on the power bar during the dark period. I have never covered mine. While i did have a few herm issues a while back with some cannaventure gear i believe that was genetics. I guess i should cover them to be on the safe side. @Schwaggy P if you like please weigh in on the subject as well.I third that. That's the primordia and it's perfectly normal. Males will have staminate primordias while females will have what you're seeing, pistillate primordias. When pollinating plants, you'll typically get some really nice, plump seeds inside of those as well. Like Bodyne mentioned, you can always pluck to off, but I always leave mine on.
I'm not personally convinced the low level light output from a tiny indicator on our equipment would be enough to disrupt the light cycles. That's just my opinion. With that said, I've always covered all of mine because of what I read early on and haven't changed my practice regarding it.@Phylex what are your thoughts on the small red lights on the power bar during the dark period. I've never tested whether it makes any difference, just always taped over them.@Phylex what are your thoughts on the small red lights on the power bar during the dark period. Got me thinking now maybe that may be part of the problems I’m having .I’m going to sit in the dark for a while. When I was in my bloom room in the dark the first time i could see the red light reflecting off the ducting. In complete darkness it was visibile light.
Being red probably makes it worse !
And I had a plant herm that was right beside the light and 10 feet from the door to the bloom room where the original leak was. So it was not that light leak.
. It had to be the red light. I would say tape them. After I did taped them its pitch black in there at lights out. Complete darkness.
I am sure I am now on the other side of the seedy situation.
I still learn new shit all the time! I think it will never stop.
And I learned how to make bubble hash. I have the bags and the buckets so bring on the seedy shit. Its all good. Rosin and Hash for months!
