When I was in my bloom room in the dark the first time i could see the red light reflecting off the ducting. In complete darkness it was visibile light.
Being red probably makes it worse !
And I had a plant herm that was right beside the light and 10 feet from the door to the bloom room where the original leak was. So it was not that light leak.
. It had to be the red light. I would say tape them. After I did taped them its pitch black in there at lights out. Complete darkness.
I am sure I am now on the other side of the seedy situation.
I still learn new shit all the time! I think it will never stop.

I had a herm a long time ago...that is when i learned what they were. And it was white widow. The fox tailingist hermiest strain I ever grew and i bet that prick was from the red light too!

And I learned how to make bubble hash. I have the bags and the buckets so bring on the seedy shit. Its all good. Rosin and Hash for months!
We've all been there. Mine was t12 side lighting had enough current on the neutral to shimmer at loghts out. No current because the timer was off. Just some kind of unbalanced load on the same circuit making its way back to the panel. That and bad genetics. And high temps. My first grow was a shit show. So many factors it's hard to pinpoint the culprit.
Fuck just last night I get home and my f and d plants are leaning over I'm like Wtf I just changed the sez so maybe it didnt like the high 800 ppm I gave her so I jump into panic mode and dump a new 5 of ro water to dilute back to 600ppm. And sure as shit after eating dinner and thinking about it.
I go back out and theres a stem stuck in the rotating part of the mechanical timer. Hahaha an hour after they got water they perked right up.
Enough so I just took a bunch of clones of the gg4 that is going NUtsddsss. Thanks bro for hooking me up when I needed a fem bean for my new f and d. Man is this thing churning butter now.
Literally a day after i switched from h2o2 to hydroguard the roots blee out the sides of 5he net pots. Man i love root porn. I got nothing on the dwc guys but it's still fun to watch. The roots tell ya so much.
Beautiful fall weekend hete in the states. Smoking on some outie that my bro @Opie1 popped my trading cherry a few months ago when he hooked me up with some fem c99s and my oh my. For not even close to fully matured. Of the 2 phenos one is very resilient to the environment. And no herms. Which was in another thread.
Sorry for clogginf your thread G hahahaha

For those of you running a passive intake. I'm thinking you use the rectangle vents on the bottom of the tent. How are those being kept from light leaks? I've tried doing a "dryer vent" shape with the velcro. Seems to work ok. Was also thinking of an actual vent-type piece to attach to the tent. I'm not totally convinced that a few light leaks here and there cause issues. The zippers on most budget tents (read: anything that isn't a Gorilla Tent) are not light proof whatsoever. To Phylex, Bodyne and others' points about nature/moonlight/lightning/starlight/etc, as long as the light isn't above what is normally experienced outdoors, it should be fine in theory. In practice it seems to be different to some people. Maybe it's the timing of exposure to light? With indoor lighting, many of us have the lights come on and off instantly, vs. a slow gradual on/off. Perhaps this has something to do with it? Like going from zero to 100 in an instant, running hard for 12 hours, then instantly slamming on your brakes, has to be putting some hard stress and serious wear n tear on your vehicle.

I'll let you know gentlemen. My tent is in definitely not in full darkness. I have the passive intake going now but my original 2x4x6 tent is right outside of my new flower tent. There's a window behind that, that I need to foil tape and redo and install an exhaust. This house sucks for ventilation. Then the other window by the veg tent. Pics below for clarification. Yes I turned the light on during darkness and pardon the mess. Have to wait until 1 to clean lol. I've been constantly turning that light on and my lady friends also consistently forget. Luckily it's early and the tent is the same brand as the original but much better built. Higher quality. No pin hole light leaks, even better poles and feels thickerIMG_20191019_105647.jpgIMG_20191019_105656.jpgIMG_20191016_143814.jpg.

I like to run a piece of ducting from the circle vents at the bottom and just loop it in a circle so it's harder for light to get in, and sometimes a pantyhose covering the hole. I also don't feel a little light is enough to fuck up good genetics tho... I did my rdwc last run just surrounded by curtains(and not very well lol) and not one nanner...

I build these its 3 circles of ac pre filter the bkue stuff from lowes, about a half inch bigger than the duct i stuff all 3 of the discs inside a piece of pantyhose then wedge it into the duct, and cinch her down, did some in 6in as well no light passes through, and you can techincally take it apart and clean it as well, fully reusable, better pics of them in my journal. And i agree that small amounts of light shouldnt be causing herms if the genetics are solid
