The squirt of water I gave them was about a tablespoon right around the edge. The soil was only slightly moist to start with so I can be a little more generous with misting and adding water. So it was enough to feel a little weight in the cup, and they'll get nothing but mist until the cups lighten up. The dome top and upper extender are closed to keep a lot of humidity in, but the ones on the lower extender are open to start getting them used to fresh air.

The mutant looks like it'll pull through

So the weather was warmer and I worked my back into a twist over the past few days. I tried eating a nug of the Sage CBD and it 'seems' to actually help. I also tossed a little in a bowl and it was still a little 'green harsh' but it was tasty and there was a definite buzz-thing in the upper chest/throat. Kind of a menthol feel but without the menthol taste, but it was a little sage/minty.

Definitely has possibilities.

Harvest took about a half hour for two plants. The Prana ended up 277g wet, and the Big D Energy was 260g.
The 'process" is just snipping every leaf with a stem that doesn't have much frost
IMG_8273.JPG
This is how bound up it was, with all the droopy stems tiet to the trunk

Then after. It supported it's weight fine, but was just too spread out.

And here's the Big D

Random - smoking the last of my Zkittles (auto) this morning. It is really enjoyable, but nothing I am gonna drop cash on more beans of. I think the CLG Grapefruit I grew had many of the same terps and properties. I think a lot of the sweet strains do.

I definitely won't shy away from Zkittles crosses but it'll be more about what it was crossed with - like the CTZ I have going now.

My Lemon Bagseed may have been worth the time. Got a half zip out of it. Chopped at 5 weeks with a few nanners and about half brown pistils.
IMG_8279.JPG
You can see the two-tone pistils, brown before chop and after. This is sticky, frosty, and smells like lemon cake icing. Anything with terps has to have something there.

I will eventually have a test spot in the rotation to run a bagseed. This had about 2 weeks of hanging, no jar til today, I rolled it across a 1/2" grid and ground up everything that fell through, about a third of it. I also dry-sifted that trim and tossed the first run kief in with the ground up stuff.

Hot diggity damn! Beautiful wake-up buzz but not racy. The lemon smell is nowhere in the taste but the icing flavor is. Low-intensity sweet but if you pay attention it's there. It also has an actual flower taste, maybe like a hibiscus smells.

Not even 5 weeks, not cured, not bad.

Basic theory for now is that if I have a bagseed spot it will either:
toss lower-balls early
spit nanners mid flower (which I now know may be smokable and enjoyable), or
flower out. (nothing to show me they aren't all fems yet)

Since I play with the plants daily and noticing issues isn't really that hard, the only downside I see is real estate.

Stoner thoughts... So I have been kicking around ideas on how to streamline running regs and it seems to me the quickest way would be to quick flip em 2-3 week veg, then during the next 2-3 weeks of flower cull any males as they emerge and once the remaining fems hit that sweet spot like you made mention of when they start to get puffy tops with no color pistils take some cuts of the ones that look promising and then really lean into them like you would normally do on a upcoming run.

Any thoughts/tweaks you can think of to go any faster on getting male plants out of my tents but being relativity gentle on the females at the same time H.A.F. ?

The males are like the females. You could start them at 12/12 and it would still take a month or longer to know which is which. The key Is to have more flower area to accept more regs-in-transition while you still have the veg space for the next run.

You can do that easy dropping less beans but that's no fun :)

Stoner thought before I forget.

I have had many plants that smell stronger earlier in flower than later. I wonder if they have done testing on the same plant harvested at different times to check the total cannabinoid profile at each stage?

The trich's on the bagseed were mostly clear, but plentiful, and a few had gone cloudy so the ripening had begun.

 🤷‍♂️

Had a little left after packing a second cone for a wake-n-bake tomorrow so I put some in a bowl. Fuck me! I got one of those mind/body-rush things like with well cured primo. I tapped it against the table to get it in the corner to dump in the bowl... sticky as fuck. But dry enough that it doesn't gum your fingers unless you squeeze it. That's the weight of the resin-heads squashing on themselves. Maybe the trich heads have thinner, immature casings when young?

If it is abandoning the ship/seed so fast wouldn't it simply be do to fact there is nothing left for it to eat in there? Will be interesting to see if yours got enough of a genetic makeup/blueprint to actually stand up H.A.F.
same for me with hillbilly bob seed did same thing .

Hmmmm.... Maybe they(cannabinoids) FLASH and then kinda dissipate like some terps do.

I guess? I am just amazed by the plant all the time. I have had first tastes of fully mature flowers that didn't leave me wanting to smoke it again soon. I burns beautifully, and I'll be smoking on that stuff in the bowl for the rest of the night, with the half joint I didn't finish.

Be nice when we can have scientific studies that learn some of these things.

Some of the plants get more goodies than others today. A few days ago I soaked some corn, barley and alfalfa. I pulled out a little of everything to blend up for the contest plants but for the CTZ I only added a pinch of each. It's further into flower so I didn't want to use too much of the alfalfa so I just did a small separate blender for it. Yeah, that's rotisserie chicken containers with the clear domes. A little hope for you people like me that save things that might be useful later...

This run instead of feeding the worms with that avocado-dome stuff I am just using a larger guage sifter to strain the pulp. Tiny pieces of worm-food should get through and then get watered in evenly around the pot instead of attracting the worms all to one spot.

Once my seeds crack they go into 32oz yogurt containers that I save. Perfect size for me to start them.
Right on Fiddler, I use em to pull/check my nutes, make any adjustments needed(up/down) quick mix a mix a then feed it back to them. Coffee cans make absolutely perfect seedling station/cloners hell even small dwc buckets. LOVE the ergo handles they have built into the back of them that make them easy to move around my grow space.

And so it is decided... If you are regular seed in my gardens you ride a coffee can until you prove you are a female
