So who has any faith in a legitimate election any longer?VOTE - You want to change things, thats how you do it.
LOL.... Good luck finding dad. There would supposedly be parents involved in the decision
As one of the 'bright kids', I was steered into advanced academics, while the dimmer bulbs were directed to 'shop' classes. Those guys ended up with skills that earned them top dollars per hour, and many became business owners- mechanics, plumbers, electricians - the people that fix things the academics were never taught. I can't tell you how many times in life I wish I hadn't been deemed in HS as one of the "bright kids".Apprenticeships would be much more beneficial than the indoctrination they are getting now. And only students intending on certain career paths which actually require college would continue with classroom study.
First thing I'm gonna do is change the sheets! You have a PhD in astrophysics, and your air conditioner shits the bed - what do you do?
There's nothing wrong with using something others paid for, IF, the others willingly GAVE it to you.I myself like the way it is now. Having my roads repaired, police protection, fire stations, schools systems, water and sewer systems, trash removal (and the list goes on and on)taken care of for me thru taxation is working just fine for me. The idea of using only what you pay for is a fantasy
That statement is 100% correct, and in the terms of taxation and accountability they did willingly give it away, they voted their representatives in. If someone isnt satisfied with the status quo they need to VOTE their current representative out and get someone in there who will fight to change things more to their liking. There's nothing wrong with using something others paid for, IF, the others willingly GAVE it to you.
There's everything wrong with using something you didn't pay for, if you TOOK it and the owner didn't willingly give it to you.
Same goes for "industry". Say...If we stopped subsidizing OIL? CRASH! Fuckers wouldn't last a week if we weren't manipulating supply and paying out the nose @ the same time....but since our leaders make serious bank from oil...we stay in oil....and we subsidize gas prices. Only a fool would think that if we streamline costs/services/etc....all of that money will trickle down to them or be used on this THEY want. LOFL. Raygun "economics". "Hold still while I unzip my pants, sucker"And imagine how much money would be bouncing around the economy if it wasn't wasted on worthless 4-year degrees, loans, tax subsidies, etc and colleges were left to survive on their own merit. Not based on subsidies.
but those services are modeled/created through a collective funding. One person just doesn't get to step out and take their funding...say...cus they want their kid to go the Bowling Academy. You have that right...you just don;t have the right to step out of what YOU benefited from in the same manner.
At the risk of furthering my likely "know it all" status, I'll address your statement and ask you a question, I'm hoping you will address my question, but thinking you probably won't.That statement is 100% correct, and in the terms of taxation and accountability they did willingly give it away, they voted their representatives in. If someone isnt satisfied with the status quo they need to VOTE their current representative out and get someone in there who will fight to change things more to their liking.
You stepped in it here. Fuck off.And don't get me started on "Miltary". Fuckin A. That's the biggest handout/subsidy program we have...
I never went to college and I have ran million dollar jobs and have never been asked for my high school diploma. You are right that some college degrees are not worth the paper they are written on. But even the worst ones, will open a door to a better job allot faster than a 8th grade education will. You put down you have a 8th grade education and your resume/job application goes in the trash.
I have never been asked to produce it either physically, but my last completed year of education is asked on every job application I've ever filled out.I never went to college and I have ran million dollar jobs and have never been asked for my high school diploma.
So is your birthday - didja get a present?I have never been asked to produce it either physically, but my last completed year of education is asked on every job application I've ever filled out.
