I can not listen to this song anymore. My buddies used to play it in their first band and my cousin used to sing it. Made me cringe every time, just thinking about still does.

I can play this from start to finish on the guitar (or could) and i pinged on something while stoned the other day - so this post was a deja-vu thing.
I was tripping on the amount of my life I spent learning how to play this. It came out in 76, and I got a guitar and 'grew up' musically in about 78. There were simple tunes I had no clue how to play, but this and Starway to Heaven I could play note-for-note.
