Just got a highly anticipated package today. The SSSC Skunk #1 is my holy grail pack of seeds and thankfully, a fellow member posted a listing for these in a different thread. I had a double take when I saw the site and was elated. The high calyx to leaf ratio, greasy/sticky bright green bud reeking of acrid astringent, pissy ammonia, rotten fruit, baby poop, and body odor are what make me think “Skunk #1”.
This has (almost) negated over a year's worth of work with my Green Crack S1

It's been set aside. There were some hermie females, so I didn't want to use a male and risk him doing the same. I have a couple females I kept clones of (no herm), so if it continues, they'll be the female in a cross.Oh my. Work fast my friend. Lol.
The Schwaggy version will be on my short list of next purchases.
Btw have you gotten any further yet with the no ceiling strain you were working on? I know there were some setbacks etc, but has it been revamped or set aside?
I've had a few Skunky VA smokers mention a no-ceiling type high.

One of my first introductions into the "non-brick" world was Skunk. No idea if it was the real deal Skunk #1 cuz everything that wasn't compressed was called "green bud" or "skunk" at that time (then came the chronic, dank, loud, etc etc). Very happy for you and excited to see your work with this.
You mention almost negating your work with Green Crack S1. Most of the Green Crack I've had (and I've had a lot) had heavy myrcene/mango. Of the alleged Skunks I've had, none of them had this, they literally smelled like Pepe le Pew got sprayed by 17 Pepe le Pews. Trying to see where the GC fits into the puzzle cuz I found them to be different from one another. Keep in mind I had no way of knowing if I had genuine anything.

My Chem Jenny has that no ceiling for me. She can get me so high, and then keep climbing if I keep smoking. A non couch lock smoke to boot.
I've heard the same about the VA from a few folks, makes me even more anxious for their harvest time to come.
The smells mine are giving make my mouth water. Lol.
