MC is back in stock on Amazon, but no longer eligible for Prime. I picked up a 21lb bag worried they might go out of business... but I dont think thats the case now. Too late this season to try it out, so I’ll have to wait until the fall.

Got my bag of MC the other day. Opened it yesterday thinking I'd see the same thing with the white balls all crushed up.... uymmmm....nope

Observations:

Doesn't smell the same....at all. Smells kinda industrial now to me. Neither the wife or I could place the smell but it's not a good smell.

It's white now....with black flecks....not the reddish color it was before.

After seeing it I decided it would never be used on my cannabis again. Was gonna toss some on the girls once/twice in veg.....cus the old formula did veg things well.

Grabbed the pump sprayer and a few milk jugs. Dumped in 10 "scoops". (there's no mix formula for lawns so I just guessed...LOL) My lawn is hurtin from a lack of nutes so I figured I'll just be mowing a bunch if I OD it. I water mucho here so it won't hang around long.

Added hot water......shook the fuck out of it for a couple of minutes

Dumped it into the sprayer. YIKES. SOME of it dissolved but there was a hefty mix of white particles and an equal mix of black shit

I ended up using an old bubble bag and straining it so I could spray it. After some fuckin around I finally got things to jive.

I'll try premixing it next time and let it sit for a day or so and see if it breaks down at all.

Anyone else receive this new formula? Thoughts? I personally won't be buying more if it is formulated like this version. Not even for the yard.

I used @Capt C method of mixing up a gatorade bottle of the stuff as a concentrate. Then figure what PPM you want and add/mix accordingly.It worked really good because there is no way I could scoop evenly/accurately with the version 2.

After that review of the new version, I'm happy I'm out of the MC game.............at least for now, lol.

That is version 3 for sure. Someone on rollyup showed both versions.

For version 2 i did the same...ro water and about 1.5 pounds in an iced tea water bottle. Works out to 30TDS per ml. I am using it a lot in veg now

I have heard people had trouble keeping the gypsum suspended (white flecks). Version 2 stinks but i think its most molasses that smells.

I guess its good i have the giant bag...i kind of like it now.

I wrote to MC and let them know I thought the new version sucked and wasn't something I'd ever use on my cannabis.

I'd basically made the decision before I purchased it...but was going to use a bit in veg.

OK...so I didn't say "it sucks".....I told them I thought it smelled industrial and didn't mix for shit and left a lot of white/black flakes.....and didn't like it compared to the previous versions.

Here's what "Customer service" replied

Its not really feedback, its just you giving some completely irrelevant commentary "I don't really like the smell so I don't like it"

It kind of just shows that you don't really understand how to rate a fertilizer, and also it doesn't seem like you are interested in learning at all.

I told them lots of folks were tired of their formula changes and dirty nutes that don;t mix well and leave crap in their reservoir/etc. and were switching to Jack's....and to basically fuck off and die.... I'm done. What a great way to retain customers.

Feel free to share/spread this replay around if you so choose. They don;t deserve the cannabis communities business, IMO> Profiteers deluxe.

Wow, would I be pissed off to get that kind of reply from a business I bought a product from. They must not know that a dissatisfied customer will tell ten others and a satisfied customer will tell only one other.

I dropped it @ RollitUp cus that's the only other forum I'm a member of currently and know there's an MC thread there. Feel free to share if you like on other forums, folks. Makes me wonder what might be in this new formulation.....especially since the guy was peddling PGR's not to long ago (Gravitron). I told him I'd be watching for that cancer causin shit on their site and would report them if I saw it.... lowlifes.

You were probably trying to mix in a method that was never recommended to be done, like "pre-mixing" in a jar in a liquid concentrate. That is why you were "shaking" something. So, I'm sorry that you had problems by using the product in a way that goes against the mixing instructions on our bag and website. Don't you think its pretty stupid to complain about using something when you are actively going against the instructions on the label?

Again, I don't think you are actually interested in discussing or learning, so will just leave it at "have a nice day."

Superthrive haven't used that in a while. Not sure if the following story was indeed factual but i had a vietnam vet tell me that the military bought a shit load of that product and was aerial spraying in the area where napalm damage was present. He said the areas would green up pretty quick. The inventor won something with it at the worlds fair a long time ago.

My wife was head honcho for years and oversaw the Customer Service and Accounting type folks at a utility company. I read it to her and she thought I was making it up as well. LOL. When I told her no...I wasn't...and showed her the mail her jaw dropped. She said I should call and ask to talk to the President/head of the company. I told her this probably WAS that person.....

Not worth my time. I'd rather type a few posts and alert other growers. They can make their own decisions about the product. I think a lot of folks are kinda tired of the changes and uncertainty of this company's offering....but it is cheap and some guys are just growing for $$$ and don;t care/don;t wanna upset the cart/etc. That, and legality are the only reasons shitty/shady/unscrupulous companies like this exist.

using megacrop with epsoma organic potting soil in flower currently. i am just using the sample pouch. i also add epsom salt occasionally. i'll be upping the MC after the last 3/4 gal. of mix is used up. i have looked on their site to see about buying it.
has any of you folks used MC with coco as well. i have coco sitting waiting to be employed for a faster grow in veg leading to earlier harvest as a result.
Yes, i do have coco specific nutes already botanicare CNS new formula grrr. i loved the original formula but those fucks figured out we were savingf too much money usuing that shit and changed their formulations and added more uneeded amendments to go with it.
