What a great idea for a forum topic !
My son emerged from 2 years of puberty last week...Its like he lived in a cave and i only saw him briefly in passing. Sleeping 12 to 14 hours a day...moody as the stock market. And then....
Last night he asked me to show him how to use the laundry machine...to do his own laundry.
He was up before noon...can you show me something to cook other than eggs.
And he spoke in sentences...not grunts and guttural rumblings.
I have learned sometimes you just have to shut up and bide your time..and keep perservering...and then if the stars line up it produces fruit.
Now that I am retired i mostly poke around..once the garden is set up i will look into a few other things i wanted to do. And then i have a stack of books to read...and i will give up and actually wear the reading glasses. Spring loaded....unbreakable....walked into the grow room ducked just right but caught it a glancing blow with the side of the door....and then there were 3.
Its time to just enjoy life.
Grandkids birthday party yesterday and where they live you can get the fire truck and police to come by with the sirens and lights to wish them a happy birthday...once i fought the urge to run it was pretty cool.
Have a great day she is going to be a beauty...2 more days of other grandkids then i finish that light !
