Sounds like your season is longer than usual this year? Here fall has arrived early. Sweatshirt weather should not be happening yet but it has been much cooler than normal for the last few weeks. Great for my own comfort but puzzling.

You ever visit your buddy? Gets pretty hot up there in summer.

Yes...a bit longer this year. We usually see frost/freeze in September sometime...followed by weeks of nice weather...sometimes all the way into November. This season we've missed out on the frost...although we have been in the 30's a few times. Just too dry for dew/frost some mornings...and that is what has saved us. Get a rain...and the next cold night w/ frost everything will be toasted.

Visited once...at Christmas. Haven't been to Cali in 10 years now though. His Summer temps rival ours but he has a longer season...and a warmer Winter. Sounds like he is killing it again this year....

The fall fade is early. The June chems from @Schwaggy P are down to their last week & smelling up the yard.

I love seeing outdoor plants finish properly, leaves yellowing, pistils receding, trichomes ambering up; but they are not that photogenic, the fade is a good thing in my book & happens fast once started. Gradual shortening of the daylight hours is something I would like to play with indoors. Anybody every try it?

I got back last night, 6 weeks of beach fun. I stayed longer than expected waiting for some wet dirt roads to dry out after all the rains. I was well supplied so no hardship. No more 80 degrees days tho, seems like winter arrived while I was gone. Lots to catch up on.

Thanks for thinking of me guys! (y) 👊

Kinda jealous....I could use a good stint on the beach. If 2020 doesn't turn the country back around it might have to be a permanent vacation:( Glad ya made it back AOK.
The general feeling in Mexico is that pot will be totally legal within the year. It will happen soon, just a matter of how soon, already through the Supreme Court & Congress. People are excited, there is serious money poised & waiting. It will be a game changer.

I confess, we have had a little beach hut in Southern Baja for years. Totally off grid except the water hookup. Property is affordable, taxes are under $100 a year. Beach life is good there. I may be spending a lot more time at the beach when legal. :D🌵☀

Making THC/CBD salve today for stocking stuffers, time is growing short. I can’t believe Christmas is 6 days away.

This salve is super effective, Adding pure CBD isolate to my bud/trim mix really upped the game.. I am using Teng Shui essential oil for the scent this time, expecting kind of Tiger Balm smell. Smells nice.

I get asked for it a lot, can’t make enough of it. My Mom was conservative anti-weed big time for many years, now she & her friends hound me for this stuff. She loves being the hip old lady putting that marijuana stuff on her knees. Fun.

Feels good on my knees too.

That's pretty cool man. I've been wanting to make some salves, just haven't got and to it. Is there a store online for salve supplies?

Considering the high cost of much inferior THC/CBD salve at the dispensary the salve is always a welcome gift.

I have been working on my recipe for awhile now & am pretty happy with it. Nothing too fancy required, I just order everything from Amazon.

Here is my basic recipe, it changes a little every batch.

Mold can be an issue, make sure to dry well before sealing jars. Long term I keep in the freezer. This recipe gave me 24 2 oz jars last run.

——

8 Oz decarb bud/trim
One pint jar organic Coconut oil
2 tbs Liquid Soy Lecithin (powder does not dissolve well)
Sufficient water, 10 cups?

Slow cook in crockpot

Separate infused coconut oil

In double broiler:

Infused coconut oil
3/4 cup Emu Oil
1 1/2 cups beeswax
Essential Oils, I have used lime & Peppermint
2 tbsp Mold inhibitor
2 tbsp Antioxidant

5 grams pure CBD isolate

Badass, that recipe looks like a good one, better than others I've seen anyway. When I get around to it I'll probably hit you up for tips 🤙.

It is deceivingly simple to make, Glad to help if you get to that point, I have made enough mistakes along the way, I am running out of ways to screw it up. :D

This batch is jarred up & ready. I am really happy with it, I upped the CBD isolate this time, works so good, I used it right away. Quick relief. My knee loved it.

Homemade stocking stuffers, jars of THC/CBD salve & Christmas caramels.

Joy to the world.

I am back again from another month long adventure. I wanted to sing the praises of heat sealed Mylar. It not only travels well but it stores well & limits smell too, a favorable comparison to glass, the larger bags can hold quite a bit. These one I have cut down for travel. Even that Skunky VA could not be smelled by human noses.

I can easily store a few pounds in a large cooler if stored in Mylar. If in jars it takes a full closet for the same.

The 5 mil bags can be sealed with the Foodsaver unit if you apply repeatedly to the same spot. I have been using a hair straightener on the 7 mil.

They don't look as hard leaving the US. We had 2 fun filled weeks on the beach years ago courtesy of some gooey hash we stuck to the bottom of a pair of shoes like gum....LOL. Boomshakalaka! Just gotta smoke it all before ya come home, huh? Heehee...such a problem.
