Okay so I asked the question last time! “How long would it take for my pistils to brown if I had a cloud of pollen in my room?”
I got my answer and it’s been past the timeframe! So now here is what happen!
I found this male plant in a pack of peanut butter breath, normally I just toss them right away but this one spoke to me! It looked so nice the way he grew and also smelled so good. In the light his fan leaves had a sparkle to it.
There was an awesome guy on here who was doing the best job I’ve ever seen with his thread (swaggy) or whatever his name was sorry I’m bad with names! And he was showing how to harvest male pollen so I was like fuck it I’ll go for it!
I bought the tote and went Ahead with the plan to put him in my flower tent in the tote until he showed enough balls! Then I went into plan b, instead of leaving him in the tent I took it out slowly then chopped off a few branches and put them in some ro water then into an armoire to see what will happen!
I have kids so I’m limited to this room only! As you can see the armoire is right on the side of my flower tent. So
The next couple days was nerve racking.. well it only took 12 hrs before the first sacks started to open and drop pollen.. I had the doors closed so I didn’t no until I opened the armoire..
shit pollen! Is it airborne! Did I just ruin my whole crop? How much is too much? This is what I’m thinking but I’m still cool about it I’m like, I’ll collect some now and then wait for a few more to open and keep collecting till I had what I needed!
Well when I used something to hit the ball sack so the pollen can drop
Into the container All I see is a cloud go up! My tent was zipped but the stories you hear from ppl has me thinking shit I had to pollinate my whole room??? Took pollen for two days and grabbed way more than needed! Then killed the branches and sprayed the armoire with water! Left the room with the pollen! Stored it took a shower and left the tent closed for 2 days only opening it to feed..
Now on to the horror stories I’ll only give a couple cuz it’s long enough already.. this is just stuff I hear ppl say all the time! You have a hermie (bananas) omg spray it with water kill it and your room might be pollinated wash spray all plants with water clean room, fans, filters wipe all things down or your next plants you put in there are
Going to get Seeded. All that for a banana now if you talk about male pollen omg don’t get it on you or go next to a plant don’t breath on a plant after touching a male plus all of the above like with the bananas?
Now on too the second process for me, I take my 3 girls out the tent I timed it so they would be nearing week 3 when I grabbed the pollen so I just waited a few days! After taking them out the tent I went into a room with no air movement took the paint brush and was horrible with it.. but managed to paint a few buds on one branch each off the three plants, And Put them back into the tent with a brown bag over the branch for two days all while having other plants in flower!
So I must be the luckiest person only when it comes To growing cuz I check today I have no seeds in my tent only the few branches that I hit with pollen!
