What U hittin the Hammers with? HAF You know My GGGF on Fathers side had all 5 of the Men pictured in Your avatar pic in His Home many times on His Farm between Kearney and Liberty . Rode with Frank N Jesse with Anderson and later Quantrill. Old One Eyed Dick Cra*** . Was one of Franks Best Friends till death. Got His eye shot out escaping Yankee Prison Camp.
I thought that was Shepherd that got his eye shot out? Been a long time, All these years screw up my thinking

MY GGGF didn't ride with em after the war , hid em out plenty of times. His Wife did help nurse their Mother back to health after the Pinkerton raid / explosion. He lost his eye during the escape from Rock Island.

I'm of Scottish decent, picked up Cherokee along the way, and one of the Great's (Col. Charles McDowell) served under Brigadier General Daniel Morgan in the Revolutionary War. He was Commanding Officer of the NC Militia Brigade. Battles of Kings Mountain, Cowpens, etc.
After that I think moonshine was in the genealogy but I can't confirm other than stories.
