Seems to me that RIU has it's mean girls club and those asshats can get away with murder and if you cross them the mods come down on you. No consistency whatever. Serial trolls go unchecked but if you post a link or say a thought the admins don't like you go on the shit list.
I dialed back my posts there after a run in. Was pretty much just hangin in the heisen thread and led section. If I had a controversial thought I kept it to myself. A forum should be a place for free and open discourse. People who want to prevent that should be the ones getting tossed, not the other way around.

I totally agree and that's why the kitchen sink was created. I think if someone is trolling your thread the OP should not be punished. The trolls should be reply banned and that's it. Not banned. If an OP is trolling his own thread it can go to the kitchen sink.

Forums only exist so long as the enthusiast sect of a certain subject, generally hobbies, continue to post on them. It takes us active users to generate the traffic, and thus ad revenue from the inactive users keeping up with our shenanigans. If they continue making it inhospitable for us users the gravy train that is rollitup ceases to exist.

Heisen didn't say a word about it to me but I knew this was gonna happen.

Also, reading nu-be's posts has me thinking there's definitely some fuckery afoot over there.

i got banned from the heisen thread so i asked Sunni why in a PM. she said she looked under my account and no reason was listed. she then emailed the mod who did it and got no response after 2 days. other mods aren't even aware of why people were censored. they're banning people for no reason so there is no reason to list.
the site owner wants so desperately to shut down any threads and conversation about heisenbeans. i will be sure to start a thread over there for every single strain i pop.
