This is my hip-hop kit.
-old Sonor bop kit (18 inch bass drum) with wood hoops.
-mapex 13 inch chrome piccolo snare
-10 inch pearl short fuse mini snare
-old pearl 8 inch fibreglass tom
-13 inch zildjian K hats
-18 inch zildjian K crash/ride
-15 inch zildjian A avedis thin crash
-8 inch zildjian A splash
-I use a lot of junk.. Ching rings, tambourines, sizzle chain things, t shirts over drums etc. Lol. Not a purist whatsoever
Ditched my double kick and I’ve been using a cheap Gibraltar pedal to keep it simple and fat for what I’m working on. I would like to get a big filthy ride at some point.. 21-23 inch. Probably an A sweet ride but maybe a K

Thanks bro. Just spent an arm and a leg on those K s. Worth it tho. Should have gone for the 20 inch crash/ride, not the 18 but the 18 has a cool specific sound I’ll still use when I do get a bigger ride. My only beef with the 18 inch is it’s just not very versatile. I have a big pearl export kit and an even smaller micro kit. I haven’t used the pearl in ages. Bop kits are my shit. Believe it or not I recently bought the used Sonor for 400 bucks Canadian. Had to pay some shipping but worth it. A new one is 1200 bucks and you can’t get that colour anymore and they usually don’t have the wood hoops
It came with a snare but my little 13 inch piccolo sound better in the small space
