Should I top this?

My first grow. 3 weeks in. I topped the first one in the purple pot and got some new nodes. Wondering if I should top the one in black pot (one of side shot). The 3rd healthy one looks full right now so not sure I should top. (Black pot). Congratulations are in order. First or tenth grow- you are killing it.

Full of what ?
That second photo is a real eye catcher.

I dint have to zoom in to see how much love those babies get ! It most likely has been painfully exciting ;) watching those little ones fill out like that. They look to be like they are about to hit a spurt. They may need food and a little pot up at that point.

What do you have growing there PJ?

Mainly depends on your setup. How much coverage do ya have with your light source, how much room do ya have? How much veg time are you planning on giving them?
its a 650w burple light. I’d say maybe 4x4 coverage. Got plenty of room. This is in my old man cave about 20x50 foot room. This is against the far back wall length wise in a big open room. No clue on veg time. I’m kinda winging this. I need to read up and be ready. 4CB561F6-C411-4DA0-91EC-E16459D8669E.jpegA0D87C44-7AF4-4698-BFBB-73D71CF83B5F.jpeg

I think topping is a good thing when you have enuff room. But it depends on a lot of factors it also helps keep the plants from stretching if your growing a strain that stretches a lot after the 12 /12 light flip. Some plants can grow three four times their size

I have no clue what I’m doing. My buddy grows and I watered his plants when he was on vacation. He gave me an oz top shelf purple haze, a 650w light, these seeds and told me to get my hands dirty. We did the fox farms ocean mix with perlite and after departing with soil and a few pots he told me I was on my own. That was 3.5 weeks ago and here I am. Not sure what strain this is. Hope it gets me high. He has some white widow growing and I guess he got these seeds for free.

they look good so far Nice jobView attachment 26648
thanks. i guess the next step is waiting to see if I got a female? And then a scrog possibly? I’ve got two 5 gallon p for next transplant; which I drilled holes in the upper sides to anchor training. Also have a 13 gallon pot in the event I only get one female.

right now I’m just assuming the training and toping should be in accordance to light exposure? This hiway is gonna get busy soon and they will be fighting for light. Hope I get 1 or 2 females.

The best advise i can give you is start a grow journal with asking for help from other growers. There is a sight that can give you some basics called growweedeasy.com. If you study that site well and ask questions on your grow journal you will shave years off of your learning curve. Good luck on the grow. I will keep a eye peeled for your journal so i can follow along.

The snow lotus part of that cross, is a bushy plant to begin with. You might not want to top it. It really depends on your goals. My vote is let it grow naturally until it's crowding it's space.

You should get some nice weed from those beans!

I know this will sound like strange advice at this point, but if you have more seeds- you need to pop them now.

My first 6 plants were Male,,,and I was planting them 2 at a time.
So - I never saw my own bud for months.

( hypothetically speaking.) If you started flowering those plants today, it is possible that in less than 2 weeks you will discover that you have all males -and at that point you will be starting over.
If that were to happen, starting over again, you wouldnt see buds until Feb.

You could put those on flower anytime now, even with females, you need to start forming up the next generation.
Once the bloom light comes on - keep feeding that flower room with fresh stock.
Avoid down time; dont wait until you havest, to discover that you have nothing to flower.

You have space many would kill for, and eventually you will need a bigger light.
This is all going to start happening pretty fast now, I say bite the bullet and go for it.

Feel free to put 100 more holes in the transplant bucket ,,,you only need enough plastic to hold most of the dirt in.
Many bucket's are more hole - than pail.

Ty for the info. Will just leave the one topped (once) and see how they develop.
