Maybe these?
Yeah those should work very well. Maybe i should get the same ones too. They look better than what i’m using now. Hahah.

Dinachem is flowering well. Who knows i may end up getting some kind of deformed monstercropped buds afterall. Just regular Dinachem buds would also suffice. Hahaha.

And these patches on the Dinachems leaves. I’m not sure if its TMV or something but i don’t think so. This pheno had these patchy and curling leaves for a long while now and if i remember correctly, i first noticed them after monstercropping my only clone at that time. So this may be stress related or it may be genetic either way i like it. I’m gonna post some whacky leaves too.

NL is also budding. Actually they all are. But i took this photo to show you how thin the blades are. It’s not like any other indica i’ve grown.

The tent. It’s going well overall. Blue Kush looks a bit bloated (forgot to take pics but i’ll upload later). It is in the same tray with the Indigo Lily and because the IL is in a 2 gallon pot, it dries up pretty quick so it’s hard to find a balance there. I flood the trays by the way. When one dries both gets watered. I think i’m gonna let the IL dry up a bit more and let the BK do it’s thing.

Yeah they don’t look that bloated atm. Maybe they were looking bloated because the lights had just turned on and they were still asleep. Well anyway, some tip curl tho. Maybe i picked a bad day to give them an AACT. Well we’ll see. I think they will be fine. I’ll more than likely get away with minimal tip burn. Worst case scenario.

Also i raised the lights a bit. 10cm probably. They were so close to the tops, i was seeing the individual colours of the cobs on the canopy.

Raised the again.

Also took some measurement.

Starting from the left side wall and compeleting a full 2x2 square.

I hope what kind of a light print forms is clearly understandable. Great readings and no hotspots. 18 cobs doing their thang!

Just to give you an idea. Let’s say this blank page is presenting my tent then the photos represent.. well me taking measurements i guess.

I always wanted to do a distribution chart for this light so here it is. A very even distribution as you can see. This is a based on my latest measurements. I applied the same distribution pattern and this very amateur chart came to be. Haha

What do the readings look like deeper into the canopy? When does it start dropping off hard?
I’ll have to check that but it’s pretty well illuminated overall. Lowers too. Still tho i’m sure these numbers would go down drastically one node below. That’s just how it is. But i’ll take some measurements when the lights turn on.

Do you know where to find a comparison chart between light types for the readings you're taking? I think HID goes by different scale readings? Like COB vs HPS vs CMH etc. Haven't been able to find a good side by side for this or vs QB and Strip.
So much to learn still.

There are some general conversion and calibration factors on this page. These are just very average numbers. So it’d just give you a general idea about how many umols your plants are getting. Not very precise but cheaper than buying a par meter.

For leds i use 0,0149. It’s the calibration factor for cree 3000K 80cri. I don’t have any of those hooked up in my fixture. I got 90cri 3000K, 80cri 4000K and 70cri 6500K. So this is a very basic estimate but i don’t think it’s that far off because this fixture grows some beautiful, dense, heavy buds. So 500-700 umols around the canopy is an acceptable estimate imo.

Wow, I need better lighting. Can't seem to get pictures of my readings but I range from 18000 - 25000 lux. Using a 315 and old Kind 750 over 3x3 ish area. May need to change some things.
If that kind is a blurple i wouldn’t worry about that. Blue and red is not very signifcant in lumen calculations so luxmeters don’t read them well. 80% of that 18000-25000 is probably coming from that cmh and the rest from the blurple. And of course that’s not correct in terms of how much par that blurple provides.

Amazed by the setups you guys build. Got all sorts of breeders spinning off and starting companies, you all should put this shit in motion and build a lighting company, even if it's just forum based. I'd buy.
Impressive knowledge flying around here. As I read I find myself skipping huge chucks that are totally fucking incomprehensible to me.
English Lit major so if you need help with Chaucer I got you but this shit. I got nothing. My hats off to you all.

Thanks for that man. I appreciate the quick n dirty shortcut. This will definitely help my understanding.

Chaucer! Lol my gf sister is an English major haven't heard that name in a bit. I read a part of one of the books she was reading and really liked it - Jack Kerouac, On The Road, I believe it was.

He definitely experienced life on that journey. Enjoyed that book a lot. Have my 10 year old reading Orwell's Animal Farm right now. Maybe I'll give him Secret Life of Plants when I'm done. Already tell him to get a degree in botany or some relative science because Cannabis companies are going to be like Coca Cola, GM and all the other big dogs when he's done college.
@CrimsonEcho sorry for cluttering your thread.

It’s ok man. I adore the 1984 and the Animal Farm. Orwell was a brilliant writer.

Edit; also yeah cannabis business will be huge.

Yeah but it’s really getting competitive in the lights business too. Lots of companies out there as it is and if marketing your product, there is all this testing and shit you gotta do. In small scale it’s tough to afford the necessary procedures but i know what you mean.

I would spend money on almost any light in the diy thread if they came in a bit cheaper than other plug and plays. But it’s hard to market those to a broader consumer base. Maybe some of us should come together and start a “chuckers grow lights”. Hahah.

If you need help post it up on the diy leds thread or post a new thread. I’m sure some of the more accomplished diy-ers who’s living in your vicinity would be happy to build you one for cheap.

@GCG - @Jesselikes2Grow is an excellent person to talk about building you a light if you're interested. He makes them solid with a lot of thought put into light and driver matches as well as coverage needs.

Update.

Last minute vacation plan popped up. I’m gonna be leaving in a week or so. I hate to leave them in this stage. Especially the Indigo Lily. This is a test run for it and i’m afraid that if it herms i’m gonna be screwed. I haven’t made up my mind yet. I may just cull it before going but i’m not sure. Let’s see how it looks in a week. Well anyway i just hooked up some blumats. Tropfs. To keep them watered during my vacation. If i have managed to hook them up correctly there will be no flooding. Hahahha.

So the installation process also gave me a nice photo op.

(That’s 60 cm ruler in the pics)2A0980B8-B303-447C-9DE5-6B51C8FE1061.jpeg5B9F61E6-760D-412B-8101-1F3EFDFBB6B7.jpeg89C0CEEE-3027-4C16-B5C7-77977123850C.jpeg66FF0881-D4C9-4600-BC94-2212C4A08658.jpeg

And the Indigo Lily is a little further ahead in terms of flower formation but it’s understandable as it’s in a smaller pot compared to the rest. I really hope that it doesn’t hermie. Also it shows that pink buds. That Blueberry trait transfers well i think.

Update,

@spyralout i took some reading from deeper canopy. Not in the middle but in the right side corner of the tent (which gets the lowest intensity already) with the flap open so i’d guess these readings would go maybe 25% higher if the tent was closed all the way. Also i should mention, as i already said the plants are about 110cm from the ground (maybe now 120cm) and the vegetation starts at about 30cm from the ground so about 80-90cm of vegetation vertically and not one leaf is yellowing due to lack of light. So that’s a fine indicator of good light distribution imo.

(Meter reads between 4600-5000 lux at 30-35cm from the top)
88626215-2C1A-4840-8E44-BA0DAC332775.jpeg78FBB9BD-AB86-4556-BC60-449302D02391.jpeg6C0D7795-391C-4BD6-9B49-D2022765D9F7.jpegD906E8AD-863C-4A3F-AB8B-3076E0BBFB63.jpeg

And the tent. Everything is moving along nicely and the blumats are doing their thing. Pots feel heavy enough.
