What your pot and space sizes, and do you bonsai?
I use 3 inch square pots and 5 inch square pots. The pic I posted of the Giesel is in a 5 inch square pot. I can usually keep the moms in these for 3 rounds of taking cuts about the size you see in the Giesel pic. When I pop seeds, I keep them in the 3 inch pots until they show sex and can keep them happy enough to flower out the first top I clone after sexing.

The moms that I want to run clones of for flower or seed making graduate into the 5 inch pots to take all I need, and then get reset from a clone into the 3 inch pots and hang out in the library until they're needed. I usually have to do large resets for the mothers after they have given up a few rounds of clones (bonsai of sorts). Keeping up with the library (resetting mothers, refreshing top-dress, spraying pest preventatives, etc.) is its own job.

I built the table that splits my 2'x4'x7' tent so that I have two levels in the same tent. The 3 inch pots can fit 18 to a nursery tray. It really allows me to keep a nice library in a relatively small space. The other tent is 4'x8'.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Sounds very methodical and efficient. I plan on getting a 4x3 with the 1 foot split off rack section and have that be my "library and oven" for moms/clones/seedlings. This system or the bonsai system that @CrimsonEcho runs are both excellent. I've got some thinking to do, but gotta decide soon

Seems like it’s a pretty similar technique. I don’t use 5” because i flower bonsai mothers and take cuts from those to be new bonsai during their veg periods. That works for me but because schwaggy is breeding on a different level this works better for him i’m sure. For me it’s much easier and requires less effort. It all comes down to your specific needs afterall.

That's awesome information thanks brother. I gave up my mom's due to space limits but may attempt to keep a few again. Scared my tissue culture experiment won't work and I'll be screwed. Thanks for sharing

PICK YOUR OWN
I just tried 5" pots for this round of testers. I needed the extra space that they afford. I can fit 15 of them in each tray. I running them all the way through flower and I flipped them when they were only 4.5"-6.75" tall.

They look good; it's a great way to be able to see plenty of plants in a tight space. I remember Bodhi mentioning that he uses the 5inch square pots to flower out test plants.

Hey Brominator, after seeing this,I realized I never showed you the veg, mom& clone table/tent you helped me put together.
Good looking out.

They need a haircut as well. All these solo cups are seed moms,3-3.5 months old. Slowly but surely I'm resetting them in the lower half.
Success! Glad it worked out well for you. Having that second level without needing a new tent is awesome. The lighting looks like a nice setup for the space.

If you've been wanting to make seeds but don't quite have the option of a dedicated space, consider using my previous post about flowering out a male in a storage tote in conjunction with this.

Male in Storage Tote Post
Thanks ;)

I use the totes as a way to flower out smaller males for small batch pollen collection. They pretty much spend their short lives in the storage tote. I use clear totes that hang out in the splash over light in the veg space and cover/uncover them with a box every 12 hours. It allows me to give them a personal flower space without having to dedicate a full breeding tent.
Using your vegging mother plants, you can dust their preflowers to pollinate them. They will develop the seeds no problem while staying in veg without needing the plant to put on new flowers. Here is a mother plant that has never seen less than 24hrs of light and also gives up plenty of clones for the flower room.

By keeping your male in a mobile tote and using the preflowers of your vegging plants, you can pollinate as many preflowers as you'd like. After the usual 4-6weeks of seed development required, you can make yourself a couple packs of your own crosses without ever needing a separate pollination flowering chamber or sacrificing flower.
