We have a sharpstone. Hard to turn if you pack anything more than a joint worth. Then we got a "Cigarette Store Special" that was bigger with that gimmicky flip out compartment. Just wanted it for the capacity. It's still lame. The compartment is useless. Like the trunk of a smart car.
Interesting. All the flatter hockey puck size ones I've tried are ok but after about half a zip worth they get gunked really fast. I swear it would feel like some teeth would break.

I have one of those is over 5 years old and still functions just fine. These strain we are growing are loaded with oily tricombs. I really like it that i throw mine in soapy( DAWN ) water and done. That little grinder will grind any consistency you would like. Just have to feed it with the right amount of moisture in it to get the consistency you like. I think they are like 5 dollars.

I didn't mean to knock them. It was a quality piece. Gave it to my son i believe. I just like the simplicity of the plastic stortz & Bickel. So easy and i just can't seem to wear them out . Also a breeze to clean.

All of the seeds my plants had from one of them throwing balls have the round volcano.
I planted six of them and they were all female. I have not seen any balls on any of them.

Now....I have a jar of seeds from a nasty hermie on a grow last year. So, I know these seeds will be female.....so I plucked 10 out of the jar and checked the ends. They all have the volcano. Not proof of anything yet, but the plot is thickening.
