Getting ready to pull the trigger on some MC to test out with Promix HP... Have been a living soil grower for the last 5 years and am just not happy with the returns VS what I used to pull with bottled salts so here I am blasphemously going back to salts
Question for you MC users...
Sounds like their CalMag is not very nice to dissolve into water, and may be more of a pain than anything.
What are you all using for additional Ca/Mg? The MC product or some other bottled/dry product...
All we can currently get here in canada is the 20LB bag of MC so I guess I'm committing hard
You can mix your own One example of a homemade cal-mag has a ppm ratio as follows: magnesium 120 ppm and calcium 260 ppm. This breaks down per gallon to 5.8 grams of calcium nitrate and 4.6 grams of magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts). You can always adjust your mixture to compensate for specific deficiencies, depending on the symptoms you are seeing in your garden. If making a concentrate then add like 100x that amount in a gal of distilled water. I would mix separate and combine together for good results. Then I'd take a 5 gal bucket put 5 gal of water in it then add your mix. Take your ppm pen and see what the ppm is when you add 2 ml per gal/ 4 ml per gal etc. I usually leave mine at around 120-150ppm.
You can also buy it premixed. I have used this before and got great results and mixed very well.

I have also used mega crop CalMag and I put the 2500 grams into 5 gal of water for my concentrate. Did not dissolve and is separated. Before I use it I have to shake up the container and the solution is 5ml per gal to reach my desired results of ppm per gal of water.
It does the job but it's a pain in the ass. I assume to mix my own or buy from RAW.
The liquid CalMag is a giant rip off.

I am trying Mega Crop for the 1st time, so far great. Using 5th scoop per gallon for seedlings. Seems like a lot but they are thriving. I would like to try the bloom boosters and am thinking of just adding the Bud Explosion 0-19-39. So I am wondering what the benefit of using the other Sweet Candy 0-0-16 mix would be. Or if I should just go with the straight Mega Crop 9-16-17 all the way? I read most of the thread but might have missed the over all best way to go.

If you are unfamiliar with using new fertilizers I would keep it simple and run straight mc throughout. Get a ppm pen and check your ppm. You can back off the mc later in bloom and add in some booster and achieve the same ppm.

I didn't know anyone was still selling paclo for pot. Pretty sure it's not sold in the US for anything but turf uses.
It's gnarly shit. Used it once when Eel River (made Bushmaster/makes Humboldt's Finest I believe) sold it as a "kelp" product ans swore there were no chems in it. Wrong. Paclo. Fried my leaves but made the buds super hard....and tasteless/lacing in trichs compared to the same buds without it. Never used it again.

Looks like the Paclo is only in the Gravitron Bud Hardener, also says with other PGRs! F that! I dont want that crap in my Smoke! I was just trying to figure out if the Regular Mega Crop need P K supplement to finish flower. If so which one to buy. Looks like Bud Explosion is just P and K and sweet Candy is just K. Seems pretty greasy the sell anything with PGRs, but in the description it says people who buy it know what they want! GREASY!

That stuff isn't needed if you have top notch genetics.....and if you do have top notch genetics...you'll take it to mids by using this on it. I was truly surprised and a bit sketched out when I saw it on their site. All of that playin' around and the subsequent education about carcinogens and possible risks was almost 15 years ago. I thought most folks knew to steer clear by now. It's shady shit to put this on anything yer gonna sell to others who have no clue what you've exposed them to. Not good, not good at all.

With the pics folks are showing of Heisen gear/'radogear/Honest gear, etc. here I gotta wonder WHY it's needed. Folks are already reporting dealing with bud rot on some Honest strains cus they are so tight/chunky without such tomfoolery.

Most likely a lot of folks are not aware of the dangers of PGR's. It has been a good while since it was widely used. Again very surprised Greenleaf is selling it. That shit is for the cartels who do not give a shit about health just the bottom dollar
I don't use it, just use their food, don't even use their boosters. Love the food. But it is a Cali company, lol, they been caterin to and boostin their black market buddies for a minute or two now. As do many others, just sayin. I suspect the ones using it, the mass production, on a time schedule no matter what boys. And there must be enough of them, imho, to justify them selling it in this day and age. You are correct, its bout the benjamins tho, as is much of life these days.

Left 5 gallon of agua out overnight, dumbass me didn't check the pH or ppm beforehand but I mixed in 13 grams of MC. Was going for 2 per gal ended up with 2.6 per gal, oh well I'll dilute it down with another gallon of water. However my question is, why is my pH astronomically low? Thought my pen was on the fritz, since that's not uncommon, but it's good I tested a cup of water right next to me and it was 6.4. I gave Jenny MC yesterday gonna check her pH ina minute but yesterday after adjusting it slightly it was 5.7. Really at a loss here.

So your tap water is 6.4 and at 2.6 grams per gal it puts you at 5.7? That seems like it dropped comparable to what I've seen with my mixes. Your low pH water source could be a problem. What does it come out to with a flower feed, boosters, etc? I was always taught if you have to add pH up, your doing it wrong, lol. What's your media?
Do you have any calibration solution? Test your meter in some solution to be sure.

Ohhh got it now the cup was sitting out for a while. I wish my tap was 6.4. Tap is at 7.2-4. After adding a full scoop of MC to the 5 gallon yesterday it dropped to 6.5 then I added pH Down to it until I hit 5.7. haven't used it in flower yet...never used pH up growing yet lol. Have dumped 5 gallons of nutes from over dosing however 
media for the 5 gallon from yesterday is hydro. Today's mix is for the seedlings, the 2g per gallon feed I was just complaining about. Lol I need to buy a bluelab.

tryin the pk booster first time, see what happens. My recipe would then be URB, Mega, PK boost and homeade sweet for flower, minus the pk boost and sweet for veg. Seems to be workin just fine. Let my old bag get all the way clumped up, er last lil bit of it, mixes up just fine, more shakin to mix, but all the diff I can tell.

I ended up putting a pound of MC (454 G) into 1 quart of water.
I use 30ml of that and check the TDS to get where i need to be. That brings me in at 700 TDS I add more as needed
For the ones later in flower back off the amount of solution and add a couple grams of Bud Explosion
