I'll check Strainly...I actually witnessed a pair of birds take the seedlings from the Skunky Brewster cross only. I thought I had them in a safe place, never had that happen.
A mostly OG plant [HAOG x (Triangle Kush x 88G13HP)] that is expressing some very HAOG dominant bud structure. I'm happy to do it, thank you.Hell’s Hypotenuse? Interesting genetics, fun name, looks killer as always.
Thanks for all you do.
It comes from the Green Crack S1 mother, see has fluffy pistils. Those are some seriously fat pistils. Is that a common trait? Or an identifying one for the leaning of one way or the other for the mom or dad?
This skunk project is one I really want to work until I'm seeing at least 50% of a pack spit out the plant I'm seeing in my head. I may release some of the beans from these skunk steps here and there, so if you just can't wait and don't mind a bit of a hunt, the option is available. Thanks for the encouragement and interest!I hope that when your seeds drop you release some of these skunk selections and the old school cool I am looking forward to trying any and all sooo tasty keep up the fine work I want you to have my moneyView attachment 12342
I don't mind the questions. The upturned pistils is something GC does. Here is the GC mother at around the same time in flower:Pardon all the questions, the identifying traits skills are so interesting to follow.
Is the way they spike up like horns, rather than all directions like a poofball, another trait of the green crack?
I never tried green crack strain prereserve 2 packs plzIt comes from the Green Crack S1 mother, see has fluffy pistils.
First 2 pics are the Granny Skunk cross, the second 2 are the Brewster cross.Thank you.
They are looking very consistent considering they're different lines. The Chem'91skva is showing through well in them. Both fathers have longer and narrower leaf blades compared to the '91. You should be in for some nice Chemdog expressions.
Finding an RKS in seed form is difficult. One of the main reasons being that the Roadkill Skunk name was at a time when strain names were based mostly from some clear trait the bud expressed. So while it was called Roadkill Skunk, this does not mean it was necessarily a Skunk #1 derivative. Many breeders/growers are convinced that the RKS may most likely have been an Afghani or Afghan dominant Afghan Skunk line. Now that you have the class asking questions, (raises hand too) lol, which one represents the old school classic Road Kill Skunk the most? I'm trying to remember if that was one of the goals, but my memory isn't as photographic as it used to be now that I'm getting older.
Thanks for the update! I can see the branching difference between them. Progress reports are great, so feel free to update as you see fit.First 2 pics are the Granny Skunk cross, the second 2 are the Brewster cross.
Leaf structure is similar but not the branch structure. The Granny X is thick with lower branches consistently joining in early. Maybe leaning more OG.
The Brewster X looks more vertical, look at the branching.
They should do well outdoors. Guess I better see. Means they will get topped today so wanted to show this before topping.
Would you prefer a smoke report at the end or do you enjoy these progress reports?
I'm aware of it, but I have not grown it out, so can't really say. I don't usually pay more than $100/pack of anything unless it's either a vintage preserve or well-worked line with a great chance to find a solid expression that moved me to buy the seeds in the first place. What do you think about the Heirloom Afghani S1 from Riot seeds sounds nice but have to take out a loan just to afford the hunt sorry kids no college daddy got to find that skunk spray pheno
Much appreciated, the numbers I had in mind will be a nice surprise then.I would pay 150 for pack of schwaggy beans just saying
Wake me up when they are done
Thanks, even if I don't find a bullseye RKS pheno, I'm sure a nice non-sweet skunk will be found. I have some more Mr. Nice Seeds that will get involved in the future (G13Skunk, Shark Shock, Black Widow, and G13 Haze).+1 on Mr. Nice's Shit. I always thought trying to recreate the best representation of the RKS I remember would be a fun project in the future. Mr. Nice's Shit and Seedsman Original Skunk #1 were the two I wanted to start with.
Like you mentioned, Shit is a Skunk / Afghani and Seedsman Original Skunk #1 is Afghani Indica / Acapulco Gold / Columbian Gold. Both are offered in regs. Someday I hope to embark on that journey.
Did you get any twins?...................I got 3 out of 12 seeds planted and after a bit of reading on the Mr Nice forum, found it to be quite common with these beans.Shit "aka Skunk #1" - [Skunk #1 (Afghan dom) x Skunk #1] - Mr. Nice Seeds
