AWESOME! rush was one of my favorite bands.i listened to the first 5 albums like religion. Caress of steel and farewell were just mind blowing. These albums told stories and the artwork was amazing. Nothing like holding the album with headphones on lolRUSH signals tour.
Oh shit my brother went to see the black and blue tour!! I remember that shirt with gorilla and Satan wrestling on the front. That's just awesome your so lucky! I believe that was heaven and hell for them..very coolI got taken to see Led Zeppelin at about 10 but it wasn't great. It was in a huge venue and so loud you couldn't hear the music. First one I paid to see was the Black and Blue tour with Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult about '79 or '80
I wonder what tour zep was on had? 68 now that would have been a fukkin show!!! Unfortunately my heros all loved their drugs and it showed. Stevie ray was awesome on coke but when he got sober he was a whole new level. Damn your lucky! I got to see ritchie blackmore..wish I'd caught the firm. I ended up seeing bad company but without Paul Roger's..damn Yankees opened up so it was kind of Ted but not ya know. Tommy shaw was in that group as well. So sad there's no more rock and roll.I got taken to see Led Zeppelin at about 10 but it wasn't great. It was in a huge venue and so loud you couldn't hear the music. Seen em at PDX coliseum ....think it was 76.You got me thinking about rush now lol. Neil Peart is probably one of the best lyricist to put pen to paper on top of THE best percussionist ever. although their sound kind of progessed to where it wasn't for me as much. I think they should make movies based on the Cygnus/ hemispheres stories.
