What smells like a skunk, Dad?
Started my season mid June. Early for me, but I was running regs and wanted to have sexed and cloned in time to start the run proper in Aug.

Started with Balanced Breakfast cbd by Weed Should Taste Good. Wasted almost 4 weeks on those. All seeds struggled to shed their shell. No vigorous growth at all. Weak looking plant structure. They looked like what my plants usually do at 2ish weeks. Culled all them.

Moved on to freebies from Bro Grimm. Bruno (C99 x Chem91xSkunk#1) have also seen same genetics and breeder call it Toxic Princess. Slow to veg. Super smelly in veg though. So I kept the 2 best structure/smell and hoped for the best. Ended up with 1 female. Didn't clone at pre-flower just cause I wasn't wowed by the growth rate. I still have a half pack if the smoke is great.

Planned for no female Bruno, so I also wet some old left over fems from growers choice seeds - don't judge, I've moved on. The one that popped dropped nuts and pistils at pre-flower. Culled that also. Overall 50/50 bullshit from them.

Good thing last run was great.

1 plant now.
LED
10 gal oranic living soil, no bottled nutes.
7 week veg time. 2-3 weeks more than usual.

At 4 weeks flower now. Switched to 12/12 when pre-sex showed.

Looks to be doing okay. Started adding recharge once a week 2 weeks ago. Top dressed 1/2 cup kelp meal yesterday. Will do some teas also.

My camera sucks and I'm still trying to figure out lighting for pics. I just dim the led for now.

Fuck, Bobby just show your shit.....

Below the canopy the light is easier to deal with...little ones looking frosty!

The smell shifted from heavy skunk in veg to kind of fruity and musky now.

Well, I cut her about 8 1/2 weeks. I wanted to push 10 but there were issues.

I'm not sure what really. I fed a langbeinite and bird guano tea, 1Tbsp each in 1 gallon water. Disolved and stirred occassionally over 48hrs. By then end of the day I could see the leaves on the main top took a beating. It spread top down. This pic is a few days after the tea.

I'm guessing P or K tox. Could have also dragged in some fall bugs? I usually change clothes and shoes before getting in my room, but a few times I didn't. Never saw any eggs. No huge under leaf gatherings. I did see a flyer once, not sure what.

Leaves at the bottom were ok(ish)
I keep some bottom leaves to use a deficiency signals. I've read somewhere that defs start low and tox starts high....let me know if that's wrong(y)

Anyway whatever it was started spreading to the sugar leaves.

All milky white, just not as finished as I like.

Probably end up with a bit over four zips. Should have been better but I fucked something up. whatever, lol...

Changed things up with my soil for this year's garden. I decided to do the BAS version of Coots mix. I mixed up 40 gallons of that and had it resting since early July. Definitely going to add mulch this year, rice hulls. Also I'm going to follow the BAS 14 day watering schedule. Aloe, sst and all that.

Wednesday I soaked some beans.
2 each.
Purple Aliens - Greenpoint
Headstorm - Grimm
Puck Yes - Grimm
Genius Juice - Grimm

Most everything sprouted by Friday afternoon. 1 headstorm waited to until Saturday to break soil.

I am set up for (4) 10gal bags, so I'll cull half in a couple weeks.

Too boring for pics right now.

The plants are coming along.

Put them in 1 gal planters at 12 days. All were about 2 inches and starting on their fourth node. All roots held well for transplant.

At transplant I added 1/2 teaspoon each of craft blend and ground up gnarly barley. They also got 2 heaping tablespoons of EWC. Also gave them 10oz aloe soil drench and aloe foliar.

Been fighting low rh, 40%, since they got too big for dome cups. So I mist the plants 3 times a day. They seem to be handling it well so far.

I'm really digging the structure on the PuckYes

The tallest plants are just under 6" at the fresh node. I have a good idea which ones will get culled already. Wish I had more space, I'd run all of them.

You dropped your beans just a few days before me. They look great! It will be fun to compare growing styles as they grow.

Pulling up a chair- pass the popcorn, @Joebud !

Well, I did some stuff.

Figured out which plants I was keeping first of all. Trouble was I really wanted to keep 5 but was only set up for 4. Ended up making it work by adding a drilled out 5 gallon bucket off to the side. Another snag on that was I only made 40 gallons of soil. Grabbed some great lakes water only blend for the bucket. Never used that soil before. We'll see. I didn't ever plan on buying bagged soil again. Here I am though.

The Purple Aliens got the bucket today.

The others got transplanted on Sept. 7th.

All pictures are from today.

I've got 2 showing pre-sex. Well 3 if you count the one that looks like it might be starting a few nut sacks. All "fem" seeds. I don't like to flip until the plant shows some bits.

I today I flipped to 12/12. One day short of 6 weeks from wet.

All are between 13-18 inches. We'll see how big the stretch was in a couple weeks. I do tie down and top, should be plenty of room.

Last week I pruned the lowers, some up to the 3rd node. Topped above the 7th node, above 8th node on one. I did not top the Purple Aliens. All pruning/topping was spread out thru the week.
