I don't hear much about "autos" anymore. You can grow photos just about as fast as an auto now a days. 7 to 8 week photos plus 3 to 4 weeks veg were common in the past with a nice harvest of killer smoke.
Autos are 10 weeks to infinity now a days with "questionable" potency.

Give them a try, I can't wait to play with seeds I got for next season. The only point of friction I see is how long to wait to start the feminized seeds after the regs and timing the pollination. I may even try open pollinating for maximum seed since I only get a set time with them.
