Just a couple of sips

Thought I would document this grow, as title says two sips 65ltrs of living soil (coots ish) in each.
Both were cover cropped,then all cover crop was chopped and dropped ,fresh layer of soil over the top then all top dressed with crushed barley inoculated with em1 (bokashi) to be continued…..☮

What's going in them? What did you use for cover crop?

Cover crop was, barley,rye,oats, few different clovers ect ,was planted as soil was sat doing jack shit so cover crop got things going, after 48hrs bokashi and worms went to town chowing down the chopped cover crop…

Looks great bro! All the prep is going to pay off. I did sips for awhile liked the freedom they brought had russet mites not come calling I'd probably still have them...happy growing

SUPER CLEAN setup and those clear plastic water sight gauges on the bottom of your SIP's are extra boss!

Few update pics , plants have been in sips for 5 days , they didn’t skip a beat from transplant.

Both have just been topped and couple of big fans removed ,the reservoirs have been filled for the first time, environment is on point tbc

No mate I don’t own one ,the plant on the right has been a funny fucker since the start even under t5s fluorescents I had this happen with this strain a while back looked like shit the entire grow lol

Was that the bokashi growing mycelium/hyphae? or was it just barley ?
I've been thinking about trying some of these I like to grow lettuce in smaller earth boxes.
I am assuming that you are aerating the Reservoirs?

Negative to aerating the reservoirs I did think about it but first time in sips so wanted it to be as simple as poss , I inoculated crushed malted barley with homemade em1 so bokashi barley….

That's some good looking white puffs, I ask because I add barley to my mix and it grows some off the barley not as aggressive though.
