Awesome! I'll work through all of them eventually, but wanted to know where to start. When I do it I plan to run 5 at a time on the regs. The auto's will be random, and most might wait until I want some outdoor fun. First run I wanna hit all three and give them a fair shot at surprising me. Still not sold on auto's indoors just from a practicality standpoint - more electricity for a "you get what you get" plant

Was there anything different about the Ice Cream Haze for it to be a 10-pack? Just an earlier run before you decided?

I personally like the small pack idea If the per-bean price is the same and I can try two flavors in a 5-pack for the same price as one in a 10-pack. It is more likely as a consumer that I would find the fire I like. Return customers might be there for the one they liked or to try two more. It's a good plan.

I have different memories. Maybe I was lucky enough to have friends with older brothers that had connections. There was some shitty pretendica back then that almost got you high, but in my area that shit never went around twice. But there was also some ugly ass weed that was killer. All brick is not the same.

Reaganomics weed was almost all bricked unless it grew next door. Even across state lines people were packing that shit tight and stashing it - good or bad weed. The problem was we had no selection.

We had dry spells where I was, late 70's early 80's. That was how the shit-brick got past the censors... But I knew people, and if there was any to be had I likely had some. I was the QP guy that broke it into quarter bags to smoke free.

Been rethinking the chuck and I think I need 2 gallons even for the small plants since I have to carry them another 5-6 weeks after the orgy. Since all I need them to do is stay healthy that might be the place for the 60g pot. 1/4 full, then stack the 1g's like cordwood to fill it up (without their pots), then fill in the gaps with more soil. They should be rootbound a bit by the time I kill the males. Soil volume won't be an issue, and they shouldn't be growing much more since they are busy making beans. I'll have to set one up and see how many empty pots I can fit in.

If I have single cola plants, or at least keep them skinny, keeping a herd of one-gallon plants watered just got easier. As long as the tags are on each plant instead of in the dirt. Most will be skinny-ass clones, and if the pollen does what it should a top and a few flowers per plant gets me the beans I want.

Anyone that's done this before feel free to step in and say "hey dumb-ass! you forgot about _________ "

The Sky Struggler is not gonna be part of the breeding since it sucks. Just hoping to get a girl and some smoke. The skunky's may be a test run for small plants in a big pot. They are there for clones, and so I can get a taste. Two clones per plant is going to be my limit. If they don't take, karma. If they are males I keep one and wait. If they are girls I keep both and wait. Might have one plant catch pollen from two different dads. As soon as I get clones the moms get flowered.

Hoping for a 50/50 mix from the Momma Moonshine. The Freakshow are just for a catcher, and they're fun to grow. The fems are for smoke but I'll keep clones of each for seeds.

Did a double take and extra pics on the Mountaintop Mint fem. It looked odd but not male odd. Up close I think it's gonna open up like a chrysanthemum or a dandelion.

Stoner notes - aside from the fact that the contest weed has potency -

Skunk VA and Duke Diamond. Both work with just old school genetics or stuff they've made/selected from them Watching the old interview they both did with Adam Dunn and realized I have something from both of them going. The Road Dog is a Chemdog 91 BX2(SFV BX2 X Chemdog 91) X Crossroad Chem. One of SkunkVA creations, but out of old school stock and supposed to pack the chem. I have only girls, but two phenos and clones of both that have rooted but need to re-veg.

I have the Dominion stuff in the veg closet and 4 chances at a male so I can at least do one cross using the Polecat 91 and/or the Dominion G. Those aren't getting flipped until I get veg clones so the timing will probably work out with the two sets.

Aside from the Momma Moonshine (which had several popping before lights out) that is my other F1 possibility. The Dominion G and Polecat 91 both sounded like something I would like, and I have heard enough from Duke on all the podcasts to feel comfortable using his beans for my very low-requirement chuck. I might use the Skunk XXX, but not the Bluperskunk. No clue what the fuck Blue Bonnet is, but Matt Riot crossed everything to it and I got some. Might be fine but not for my first and likely only chuck.

I was looking at the floor space and I think this is about it until I sort males. Depending on the germ rate on this 13 there may be a few more, but I will have a bunch of 1g's to clone and stuff.

I need to get the Momma Moonshine batch to the cloning point while keeping everything else around - some in both mom and clone form until clones root. I think I wanted to be a little overwhelmed to keep me on my game.

My Flower cut of Harlet outgrew the veg tent(ran into the light) and she just never quite looked right for me to feel good about taking cuts. I moved her into the 3 X 3 with my 2 GMO X Funeral Cake where the have been vegging under 1 MF2000 and she looks so much better. I think I am going to just let everybody veg for just a few more days and then take the tops off all of them(like @Kushash did to his comp plants) to even the canopy and finally flip them to flower.

Katsu's Hot Wet Kushy and my Bag seed Dosidos are finally starting to fill in. I think the Mars Hydro TSW2000 above them is just a bit under powered to properly flower a 3 X 3 because HWK keeps wanting to stretch. Either that or their spectrum is a little off.

The veg tent looked sad with GMO X FC & Harlet leaving so I got some new beans wet for my next run(s).
2 each of H's Sticky Icky, Purple Crash, & Topanga Cookies. I have one of his Lemon Frostings coming up behind them that might end up catching some pollen if either of the GMO plants turn out to be male.

Random nugget from that old interview regarding the dark period before harvest. After 36 hours of darkness there are certain auxins which have been cycling on a 12/12 schedule that require about 36 hours to completely shut off. There is also something about the sugars, starches, carbs etc.

It was about the flavor, smoothness and smokeability rather than the THC content or resin production or anything. But the effect on terpene quality could change the overall buzz. Interesting stuff then the stoners got sidetracked and didn't finish the thought.

2-week smoke report on the first of the contest plants.

GSCLD 1 - green outside, mostly lavender grind. Floral with a cookies undertone. Dumps kief.
GSCLD 2 - green with a 50/50 green and lavender grind. Berries with a slight sour/smoky funk. Fair amount of kief.
These two might lean towards hash and concentrates. Jury still out on buzzes. I had a bowl of 1 and 2 before three sat me down stoned last night. Maybe they have a delayed onset and 3 didn't do shit? Nope I started with a bowl of the #3 this morning so at least the one has good power.

GSCLD 3 - green with slight purple tint in the grind. baked chicken and face punch. Unless it goes downhill this is headstash already.
GSCLD 4 - the runt - all green - some kief, cookies all day. Buzz is more like the cookies to me, daily driver stuff you wouldn't be ashamed to share.

As far as bag appeal most of them got at least a little purple from the CLD. If you're showing off grind it in front of them

So the question is, what is the stretch like on the RIR? And how long is the flower time? If I flip this 5-gallon as is I see it going downhill at the end since it's been in there since mid January.

I was thinking I could put it in a 7g or a 15g and flip immediately, maybe thin it out to a few less tops? Or,

should I just up-pot the clone and flip it and start taking new clones off the mom?
