Don't forget the context here, which was censorship, as in, a private business being punished for removing unwanted content. I don't support that.

Now, being legally forced to remove unwanted/illegal content(or be held liable) is something we haven't been discussing and I don't have a clear position on it. I understand the argument for/against it and they both have at least some legitimacy.

I post a middle finger smiley as my reply to trolls, which is part of the website smiley choices, and I get banned from threads and warned that I am spamming and will be banned from the website if I continually do so.

The modus operandi at all social media (and weed) sites is whatever the person payin the bill says it is. RUI....here....Penis hunters/etc. You have no "Freedom of Speech" on a PRIVATE server. PAY THE BILL and...YES.... you have "Freedom of Speech" all motherfucking day.....as it should be. Ride for FREE (like we all do here)...and yes....you'll likely hear "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on if you think YOU call the shots here". Again, as it should be....and as it is. Nobody owes anyone a platform to spew contrary to the views of the owner of the site unles the owner OK's such spew.

If ya think otherwise....pop a few middle fingers at Heisen and see where ya end up....LOL.

Anyone who treats another person like a lesser person, because of their political views, is being a douche. It doens't mean they are a douche, over all, but that is just douchey behavior. I've been guilty of it, too, but I've been trying to be better about it. I have some very close friends who have completely opposite political views than I do and we get along just fine. We just know it is time to discuss something else when we start to get heated about political topics.

Ah...the old "Family rule". No talk of politics, religion, or drugs. In my family at least....no one could agree that drugs are simply the best and more fun/more valuable/meaningful in a person's life than the other two can ever be....

Well, there's not much wrong with being progressive, same as how there's not much wrong with being liberal or conservative or whatever variant in between. The problem is when people manipulatively use legitimate ideologies as the vehicle for something else. That's why you find significant philosophical inconsistency/conflict with every group, because the majority of people are unwilling to support something they dislike and there is no ideology/philosophy for that, only bastardized versions of it. Only when people can support something they dislike, or reject something they like, is it possible to have an actual ideology/philosophy that can function successfully within society.

Ehhh yes and no. What are your thoughts on standing on a street corner and flipping everyone off all day? It's 100% legal and 100% your right, but it's obviously rude, so does that mean something must be done about it, or is it just someone exercising their rights in an annoying way and it's up to everyone else to go about their business? Because that's all cancel culture, or the woke movement, or gender whatever, is....it's just people exercising their rights in a manner that irritates you. Is that to imply that you want their rights removed? Or should you just go on about your day?
