Dna Testing for Females....

So recently I was chatting with a company on IG for testing seedlings for sex. The company says you pay $10 to have the kits shipped to you. Then, it costs about $9 per test and discount for multi tests. Does anyone else do this and if so.....hows the prices I am giving for the company?

Oh....and it takes about 72 hours from the time they receive the tests to get an email with results

Look up SCAR and MADD32, male markers with the best resolution or some of them. Varies depending on which machine they run. Is it even 75% accurate? Probably in some strains.....heavily bxed or selfed. Wildtypes probably give fits. You could maybe develop a baseline using a technique like this....
They have known about these markers for a while and it really hasnt ever developed mainstream....

They said the results are 99.9% and the .01 is "human error"...I'll check those out though. Thanks... it's new to me so I wanted to see if anyone had experience with this,

I will dig around and find my papers, it is definitely not 99%, lol. I have a buddy doing hemp testing, thousands, and dropped it. It ended up being higher for "bottlenecked strains" and was impossible for monecious wildtypes....

I remember seeing people say they grew out males that were tested but still were females. Like I said...just wanted to see what was up with the whole testing deal. Thanks.
