Wandered over from RIU

i watched the admin make fun of another grower for cutting off fan leafs during flower. like we are growing fucking buds here, not fucking leafs. Dudes gotta be using that 70s tek where you leave all the larf and bs buds on the plant. bc wed rather harvest more larf and leaves than buds here at riu

Then I watched as unclebuck called someone a "tard" for speaking his opinion. Only thing riu good for is giving all of us real growers something to laugh at and gives the noobs a place where they always feel right at home.
Well said

Why and why
removing fans has always let me get more light to the lower bud sites. this is super important especially when your running leds.

also removing the lower buds and leafy shit always seems to result in bigger harder buds at the top. Jungleboys do 4 node and flip. Basically anything below the 4th node on each branch gets cut.

id rather take my advice from 2 guys that make millions of dollars, that are at the very top of this game over some random asshole who started a forum who gets his kicks off telling newer growers the wrong things to do. yea dont remove any fan leafs they might end up stacking like this

There kinds like solar panels i get some defoliation brother but all of em??
And i don't wanna fight just curious
Looks like u got shit dialed in so I mean... do u really take em all off?
Looks fuckin fire bro!!
Thank you!! :D🔥

Not sure how Fseries plays it. And as Hotwired said its strain dependent on how far you wanna go.

You dont wanna take every single fan off the plant. Look at the pic i posted. Theres probably a good 2 to 3 bigger fans i cut off while leaving some of the other bigger fans. If you take a look at my journal you can see i dont do my defoliation all at once. i try to not stress the plant out. I concentrate on the first 3 weeks of flower but i probably do the most during weeks 2 and 3 when their nearing the end of stretch. Also I do some here and there into weeks 7 and 8 to really try and ripen up the middle and lower shelf. when it comes to a fan leaf or a bud getting light, the fan leaf is getting cut. Also you want ur growroom dialed in. If a deficiency or something unforseen pops up its nice having more fans. Gives you a little more time to solve the problem. id start with all the fans that grow inward toward the plant. that will open them up a little. Then when you start flowering and you start seeing budsites develop you can guage what leafs are going to need to come off.

jungle boys do things a bit different. The week before flowering they do a 4 node and strip. Everything under the 4th node of every branch gets cut. they do this all at once or over a period of 1 to 3 days. This stresses the plants so they dim the lights for next 5 to 7 days while they recover. Then into flowering they go.
