What's everyone running their panels at for height above canopy? I see more people running the HLG style boards VS the multi bar setups... I know everyones wattages differ in range too, but just thought I'd ask...
Same18" - 24" is pretty common. I try to keep them at 20" - 24" in veg and 18" - 22" in flower.
That is too close for QBs or strips running LM301B/H or LM561C LEDs unless they are dimmed down a lot. Even if they aren't burning yet it can slow down the development of the plants. In flower I'm running 6-8". It's my first led. Hasn't burned any leaves or bleached buds yet.
You are gonna fry your plants with that light!!!In flower I'm running 6-8". It's my first led. Hasn't burned any leaves or bleached buds yet.
Well its been up for 10 days now and I'm just starting to get some calcium spots on one of the plants. The other three look to be doing just fine. Maybe I need to turn up the power. You are gonna fry your plants with that light!!!
If it's that DIY....same happened to mine. All good then one day it was fried. Showed zero signs prior.Well its been up for 10 days now and I'm just starting to get some calcium spots on one of the plants. The other three look to be doing just fine. Maybe I need to turn up the power.

I acclimate at about 24 to 30 and let them grow into the light. Depends on your set up and the "photons" you are putting out. What do you want your plant to do? Short and compact or let them stretch a bit? Warm weather, you gotta watch your "leaf surface" temps.18" - 24" is pretty common. I try to keep them at 20" - 24" in veg and 18" - 22" in flower.
This just went through this . I'm at 20 now and good to goThat is too close for QBs or strips running LM301B/H or LM561C LEDs unless they are dimmed down a lot. Even if they aren't burning yet it can slow down the development of the plants.
You are absolutely right. Vero 29 Gen 7's. Different set up than the QB's. They are "workhorses".Funny how everyone has a different opinion. That shows u that every setup is dif . No two grows will ever be the same . Sorry just thinking out loud
You may be able to get away with it but just remember that, with LEDs, the issue of having them too close is not related to the heat they put out, it is an issue related to the actual intensity of the light. I’ve had some plants tolerate getting closer to some LED lights but if I have the vertical space I make sure they have at least 18”.I acclimate at about 24 to 30 and let them grow into the light. I've been building Led's for about 5 years now. One I built has 6 Veros and 2 Atreum QB 360's on 1 HLG 240-1400ma. Parallel into series in the string. Pretty efficient. You may be able to get away with it but just remember that, with LEDs, the issue of having them too close is not related to the heat they put out, it is an issue related to the actual intensity of the light. Sounds like you could use that one for tanningI've been building Led's for about 5 years now. One I built has 6 Veros and 2 Atreum QB 360's on 1 HLG 240-1400ma. Parallel into series in the string. Pretty efficient.
Another is 1800 watts and will fit in a 2 x 4 area and up. I have never cranked that one up all the way.
