Wait...what?
Pretty crafty idea...
I thought about that the first time I saw a DIY thing for cloners. You can see how he has a plug to fill the middle, because they all have a big center hole.Pretty crafty idea...
Not all noodles have the center hole...I thought about that the first time I saw a DIY thing for cloners. You can see how he has a plug to fill the middle, because they all have a big center hole.
You could split one in half, then cut scallops out of it and split them like the store-bought plugs.
Cool - didn't know thatNot all noodles have the center hole...
The way he did it though....you dont need to buy any plugs. He created plugs from each noodle puck. He takes like a 1/4 in cut and folds it then stuff the hole. It's a brilliant idea and perfect for any budget grow.Cool - didn't know that
Not really ment for a long term solution. I will always rock with rockwool cubes with ponics.I could see using them in a pinch, until you get some neoprene plugs, but I would think the larger cell size in the pool noodle material would be a great place for algae or mold/fungus to grow.
