Mars Hydro TSL 2000

Thought I’d start a thread for one of the latest offerings from Mars Hydro. Their latest products seem to be a lot better than older ones. A lot different spectrum for sure, this model has some added reds and blues to the white leds. It’s adjustable from 25-100%.

Comes with 2 150w drivers that can be mounted to the fixture or if heat is an issue, it comes with enough cord to mount them outside the tent.
So far I’m liking the looks of it. And I have and I’m currently using fixtures from HLG, so this will have earn its spot.

Before flipping to 12/12 I’ll transplant into either a 5g or 7g smartpot.

This plant has been vegging under T5’s and it’s been cool the last few nights, but she’ll pull out of it and look much better soon.

I also picked up a new mars light recently! My first purchase from them, the SP250 for a 2x4 tent. Gotta say the plants are liking it but the height from canopy is a bit more than suggested
So far so good, can’t wait to see what kind of buds this baby can make!

240 watts of 3ksamsung strips with a 770nm far red strip on a different cord (if you want to emerson effect) is 330 CDN with shipping around 350.

320 watts of boards in a kit 420

They would have to be better. And even then I would feel like Charlie Brown with a football if i bought one.

I dont think there is a lot better than 3kboards with far reds..

I had it a bit higher than the recommended 24” late in veg/transition and they got a little burn on them. They adjusted well when I raised it to 30” and they’ve grown up into the 26” range now and are holding strong.

I also got a pair of QB288’s with a MW240 for comparison in another 2x4 tent That setup costed me ~$75 for the boards, $91 for the driver, $125 for the machine work, another $25 for for some aluminum and hangers, and $12 for a power cord. Just about $350 total for that setup, can’t wait to see how they both do!

I ordered the light with a tent so the light total cost was $365. Pretty similar price but I had to go through a decent amount of work to get my boards setup nicely. The SP is a very well constructed unit and the tent came next day ordering from Mars directly.

I got a set of each now , 301b vs Mars in the 4x4 ! Will let u know . I gotta say though they are both very similar . I bought a Mars 1000 couple years ago and it's been somehow vegging my 3x3 perfectly. It's only 130 from the wall! Anyways don't knock em till u try em

The new ones are whiteish though right? nor blurple?

I would imagine they have an orangish hue? 4ks have a kind of whiteish blue thing and 3ks are orange (not HPS orange but orange).

All lights can grow. Their new offerings are much better but if they are not cheaper. They will all cut my head the same

I hope they work great. Being able to remove the power supply is a big deal too because that is the problem with a tent. When I peak out wattage i overheat the tent. But when i moved the meanwell out of the tent i can run full blast and max out at 74F. Happier girls for sure.

I will watch them grow. What i do like about mars is they come plug and play, ship EVERYWHERE and i think the new ones will work.

I had my finger on buy a lot of times with them but sorted it out with current inventory

I have both 3k and 4k cobs and the sp light is somewhere in between id say. Maybe 3700 if that’s how the range works? It’s very white but not as clear as the 4k and nowhere near as orange as the 3k

If they work well one of the 150s would fill a need. I will watch how you fare.

Their spectrum looks like an Amare spectrum now, lol. Very cool. What's the price point on one of those? Way better spread than a 300L. Still center hotspot city though, just wider now. Two of those in a 2x4 would rock, @ 150w each. They should change their name, the current one is pretty shitty.

I don’t think that I’m gonna be able to completely finish this in this tent though, it’s only 5ft. I think it’ll end up being too hot, but we’ll see.

The stupid part is i cant sell a brand new HPS with a hood for a decent price but if i list that old blurple mars for a decent price it will be sold in 1 day..lol

Its amazing how everyone , especially newbs are so caught up w led . Hps is far better in my opinion than the blurps . But now these new boards got me rethinking life lol. I never ever I'm me life thought I would switch .

It’s working great, temps haven’t gotten over 80 inside, not yet anyhow. I’m pretty sure that I’ll have to re-configure. I’ll probably have to take my 315 down, so there’s that spot, but it’ll shake things up.
