I have to know, what gardening zone are you in? Snow in July? Jesus. I saw a flurry yesterday and had to call 3 people because i was so shocked. Shit like that doesn't happen in the south man so I'm adjusting to a new climate. Interestingly enough, I moved about 700 miles north but I'm somehow in the same zone? I'm not complaining, just questioning the logic.LOL.../that's MAY type weather in my 'hood...... and still too early to put plants outside. I'm @ 7100 ft elevation with snow covered peaks looming over head that hold snow into July..... and cold air sinks...yes..it does.
Here's mine. I have woodchucks and rabbits, so the fence is to keep them honest. .22LR to enforce itGod i love raised beds. I'm going to have to build new ones once i figure out where the hell to put them . What is the depth on those, 2 feet?
Awesome. I've been so damn busy, I haven't gotten anything started. Thanks @socaljoe for sending me these for real. I'm super excited. Got 4 jumbo jalapenos and a couple chocolate habs to get started for now. View attachment 58261
That is an awesome set-up. If i had more room i would have built about 4 of those in a row. Much easier than digging in that rocky ground. Here's mine. I have woodchucks and rabbits, so the fence is to keep them honest. .22LR to enforce it

The raised bed part only has about 6" of store-bought soil in it. Last year the tomatoes were just in cloth pots on the ground, and grew into the soil through the pots. This year I gave them a good layer of medium to get that started. All my used weed-soil is in the pots for all the plants.
It is really nice man ! Geeze man i need some fresh thyme always too! I think it is my favorite actual herb. Here's mine. I have woodchucks and rabbits, so the fence is to keep them honest. .22LR to enforce it

I have all harwdoods, and really nice topsoil from all the mulch. That area there has been weeds and undergrowth for a while, to the top is clay. But I have boulders. It would flat out MURDER a tiller. Roots can grow through and around rocks all by themselves. That is an awesome set-up. If i had more room i would have built about 4 of those in a row. At least you get to recycle your soil and build up the bed. Do you eat the rabbits? I've never eaten rabbit but my boyfriend says it is delicious.
Do you feel the 6 inches of soil is deep enough? Mine were about 10 or so.
