You are correct. You might be able to just put the decarbed weed in there. Keif......would disappear 100%.I'm leaning towards the second idea. Use keif and it'll disappear in there.
I use a big 100ml craft syringe for filling molds. Lots less mess and spillage. Cut the tip opening as wide as needed. If you make infused coconut oil all it takes is cacao powder and a double boiler and you make your own infused chocolate. I think it is like a cup oil for a cup cacao but would have to make sure I made some awhile ago combine and stir with whisk in double boiler. When pouring in molds you have to be quick or put back on heat
I measured how much an individual mold section holds. figure what you want in one piece - small numbers - easy math - multiply by the number of bears...Converting the ml capacity of my molds to chocolate was a bitch. 24 teaspoons in a half cup and I wanted to get 48 doses, 1/2 teaspoon each. I was short of that by a good 10 percent. Ok though, just a bit stronger per piece.
These are so much simpler than gummies. I'm gonna be looking at some of the harder polycarbonate choc molds. Might as well make some bon bons, lol. But really the draw will be mounds bars type stuff.
Technically I could just cast the oil. That coconut oil locks up tight enuffI did a batch where I used little pressed puck pieces of decarbed keif.
I filled the molds halfway with chocolate, laid the appropriate dose on each, then topped it with melted peppermint bark. It worked, but you could just eat the kief puck...
I did that, I have all the ml capacities of my molds. I used a conversion calculator online... ml to chocolate ounces... and that, was not entirely accurate. Probably because it is a liquid to dry measure calculation. First run, I'll adjust my fire accordingly next round. I might go up to 1 lb choc next time and then again I might be letting it stay the same. These are real good on a candy level alone.I measured how much an individual mold section holds. figure what you want in one piece - small numbers - easy math - multiply by the number of bears...
Don't you mean 0.3?You eat 3 grams of decarbed buds and a Snickers right after
Boom
stay with the metric instead of twisting it to ounces.Technically I could just cast the oil. That coconut oil locks up tight enuff

Ok, I got some molds that are 7 ml. I would like to make 45 pcs @ 7 ml each. I will use 1/2 cup of oil. How much chocolate do I need?stay with the metric instead of twisting it to ounces.
I use the same measurements for everything, so the only difference is weed potency.
Keif = 50% THC = 500mg THC per gram of keif.
Flowers = 20% THC = 200mg THC per gram of flower.
You could also use 15% or 25% if you have a good idea what the strain is like but I just keep the math easy.
I calculate the doses to either 25mg or 50mg.
For some reason I keep the measurements separate.
I know the mold will hold 10ml per compartment and has 15 compartments. I need 150ml of product (chocolate, gummy, whatever)
It has 15 doses so I need "X" amount of keif or flower mixed in based on mg of THC.
Then mix it up
That is why I quit infusing stuff. Every time you do it you lose some certainty of the content. I have a freezer full of trim I have been putting off messing with. Lots of keif in the futureThat half cup has 1/4 ounce Dinoberry bites bud infused into it.......twice. From the online calculators I'm seeing, these pieces should be plus or minus 25 mg each. That's using 20% as the THC content in the weed.
