Just a regular vato
I have dreams of washing or sifting all my harvest trim and pressing a "harvest hash blend".
Plus it makes it easy store.

I tried the Frenchy route. I just don't love hash enough to put that much work into it. I now have an 8g washing machine out in the shed, and some bubble bags all sealed up nice in case I ever want to pull them out again.I have dreams of washing or sifting all my harvest trim and pressing a "harvest hash blend".

Answered each one separate - thanks for your help! All strains act differently at different temps and pressures. Usually the lower the temp the more terpenes are perserved but lower yield. Higher temp more yield but quality usually goes down. Taste and smooth/harshness.
Usually i try and press at the lowest temp possible and then switch out parchment paper and press at subsequently higher temps until the puck is dry looking.
That second pressing makes me want to smack myself in the head. DUH!!! I was looking at the oil on the edges of those bags and thinking everclear wash.
If you press with micron bags you'll need to press more flower at once in order to get a decent return because the bag will soak some up.
I saw that too. After pressing a few loose nugs I don't think I'll be pressing much flower in bags. I'm really small scale.
As far as collection goes after the press, well that's an experiment with each strain. Big learning curve. Usually 20-25% is concerned a good return for flower. 50% and up for pressing hash. At least that's what i remember off the top of my head at the moment.
Good to know. Based on weighing those nug-wafers I got just under and just over 20% so that's not bad for the first try.
Or you could have everything automated and sleep until noon...My lights come on 'earlier' now... my plants don't do D.S.T.
Something for new growers to think about when setting up light times. If I had them coming on at 6pm and off at 6am, then the time bumps up an hour then 7pm and 7am aren't that bad as far as being able to get in the tents a little before lights out in the morning. If you have it set at 6's and the time drops back you would have to be up before 5am??? Sorry, nope. I frequently am up then but I don't want it to be my "schedule, or to not be able to check them most mornings.
I'm retired. If I didn't have the garden I'd be in a nuthouse. I'm still a fairly young man to not have a full-time. I've always been a morning person but 4:30 is a little extremeOr you could have everything automated and sleep until noon...
I changed my lights to coincide with the ridiculous and archaic DST, I jut made sure they got an extra hour of dark vs an extra hour of light. Funnily enough, I’m on a 6pm to 6am lights on schedule! My lights come on 'earlier' now... my plants don't do D.S.T.

till the chem strains kick in, i feel like i should be @it they tell me they do'nt do ankels or elbows, i still do good underwater, guess i could go back to recovery/boats ,cars naaa. uw metal ditector ,go to the rock beach come spring ,boat anchors on the steep rock ledge, ankel/neckchains ,rings and such as the odd lure plenty of lead for reloading the black powder rifle...retired!the go fishing!I'm retired. As far as the sleep I prefer naps whenever I feel like it for as long as they take.
The processor that runs my lights automatically switches the time for DST and the change has never seemed to affect the plants.I changed my lights to coincide with the ridiculous and archaic DST, I jut made sure they got an extra hour of dark vs an extra hour of light. LOL! Well, it's what I do fr a living, so it makes more sense for me to control things with a control processor rather than change timer settings every time I flip light schedules. The processor that runs my lights looked at the timers and said "fuck that" then smoked a bowl
