There is so much to learn and always some fuckery, I beat PM twice and russet mites and never lost a single clone. It's fuking hard but can be done with patience. Patience is the absolute key to growing anything. When I was 8 years old my dad had chickens in a barn for years. He tore the barn down and burned it. There was a huge area and he let me borrow the neighbors tiller and I tilled the ground. Planted a bunch of stuff and really loved it. Said it was the healthiest garden he ever seen. I was hooked on gardening from that day forward. It's all about patience.

In 2 years of being in 2 5x5 tents, I can say that 2 lbs is tough to hit with out the right cultivar. Its possible, but you better be growing a fat yielding plant and have that shit dialed in hard. I Hit 1.5 with out much fuss.

Those some nice looking plants.

Thx...I really miss growing outdoors. Moved to the lower Washington coast, so now I'm an Indoor guy!
I'm hitting 32 in a 4 x 4 under 600 watts of Diablo and under a Growcraft x6 as well. Never in my life did I think I would double my yield from my old 600 watt hps. Freaked me the fuck out. This is why I didn't get involved in the thread. Cause the guy may actually be hitting it.

I know it don't look like it, and it really doesn't imo, but I just can't say for a fact it aint. The reason is I know these lights can do 2 pounds in a 4 x 4. At least for me and the new guy here from RIU @bk-og will also attest to this. He runs in an open area like H, but still gets the monster buds and yields from his china lights.

I'm talking medium yielding Heisen tester stuff. His old stuff as well. Like the BBC S1 I've been running for almost 2.5 years now. Was averaging 1.5 ounces per plant on the BBC with the 600 hps. Went to 3 per under the Diablo and x6.

Just took some fresh pics right now @ 10 weeks. Gonna pull soon.

The FB newbie would lose thier minds over this LOL.

My thing is about 5 years ago i stopped giving a shit about how much I yielded and quit weighting it all together. My goal was to have all the smoke i wanted from one cure to the next. I judged my grows on the totes it filled. My WWxBB yeild was monstrous and I had to get a second tote to house it. Proly one of if not my biggest harvest out of a 5x5 tent.

I filled 2 of these 3/4 full and over flowed into a 1 gallon jar. The thing is, its fucking WWxBB. After a year of GG4xGSC its very bottom shelf LOL. As soon as my current run is done, all this shit is going to dry sift tumbler. Dry sift season is almost here and I have several runs to do.

I'm keeping my eye out. Im actually intrested in starting breeding some seed for my own use. (part of why i joined). Just need to get some other things handled first. Im hoping that when that day comes the wonderful people here can help me out with picking out a couple of males to play around with. Got a couple of things to do with my room sitution first. Post harvest on my current run I should be getting out of the tents and will be looking here for some new genetics.

You may remember @J.James from County Line Genetice from trollitup. We were all over there for a bit. I started testing beans for him over there. Three years plus now running his gear and the only issues I have had was with a few testers (duh) but I have gone back and purchased everything that he has released to keep as a sealed pack for after I expend the tester beans.

The County Line Hashplant and the Homecoming Queen both have at least one pheno that I could handle as a "desert island" strain. But everything there is fire of one sort or another. Lots of variety in the stuff there. There may be a few things crossed with the same male, but you won't find packs of Everything x It's Brother x Cookies ;)

For example, the contest now has three tester strains and if I had to guess they have the same male donor. Maybe not. But of those three it could be anywhere from 0 to 3 that get released based on the testing.

Oh I have been watching all your guy's grows and reading back through other threads. I'm about 500 pages deep into @Heisenbeans genetics thread.

Part of me is still working on learning these beds. I dont know what it is, but the growth rates on this last grow has been SO much faster then my prior run. So I while i was thinking that 3 weeks veg in the beds was good for 4 plants, the growth rate is out pacing the prior runs ive done with longer veg time. I got a Microscope coming in that will let me look in on what is happening. I have been attending Dr Elaines Inghams Soil Biology School stuff pod casts, free classes and such. There is a soil behavior class for free at MIT that i'm almost complete with. I had to really brush up on some other shit to understand it. Best thing about MIT. If you cant afford school, teach yourself.

Finally on a roll....
Man I was getting jacked for the brawl of the wild; however, we kinda have a friendly version of that going down in the mystery pack grow off. Blinked and 6 pages of smack talking popped out of the ether.. If this does go down somebody wake me up...

Hey man, I remember you from RIU a few years back. Aren't you the one with the vertical grows?
I pretty much just posted in the outdoor grow section back then. But would dance around looking at the organic and indoor stuff.
Your indoor grows always drew my attention, hope you stick around.
Thanks for the kind words, brother! I'll be bringing some of that vertical goodness over here, hope you don't mind?

So many younger growers don't seem to be happy with just growing nice plants. For some reason they feel like growing is all about yield and THC %. IMO, there's a point density of nugs can get too high. I like dense nugs but not when they are like rocks.
Truth. I'm partial to a sativa dominant anyway, and they tend to be a bit less dense. But I guess that's what grinders are for, right?

I care less about density and more about the high and the resin, in that order lol

I've seen nothing but white ash for a year or so now, I have green leaf tips at harvest, and I think the plants are showing me the best of what they have to offer. My terps have been brighter, and I think longer lasting in the jar.

If you slam the plant with nutes to get a specific result, it logically follows that you'll be trying that same process and effecting the results the same on every strain. So whether you are growing blueberry cookies or chem gas, you are gonna taste your process in both. If you are a chef, all your dishes will tend to have your thumbprint on them. But you can just throw the same salt and pepper on two different steaks and then it's all about the quality of the meat.
This is important. People don't tend to appreciate process when it comes to growing nearly as much as I think they should.

The tech I've been working on- all of it, not just lights or vertical panels- is versatile enough to let growers put their personal stamp on the product. I think that's important, just like going to Wolfgang Puck's; you're not just going there for dinner, you're going to taste how HE does it.

Come to think of it, it's actually even more like brewing beer- soooooo many ways to do things that your choices become habits and those habits become something you can taste.

Ha all in fun.....well just for size reference. A couple plants that finished with a touch over 2lbs of solid bud.
Albeit they are outdoor so maybe not a fair comparison, just saying it takes a good size plant to produce 2lbs.
Maybe if you had a 5x5 filled to the brim a person might make it.

It CAN be done; 5x5=25ft². I did it- once- on a 6x4=24ft² vertical panel.

Hell ya. I've still got all my supplies for home brew. I did a lot of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale copies. I worked my way up to All-grain with the same yeast they use and it was damn close.

Still have malted barley in both grain and dried extract. I need to try feeding it to my plants one of these days. I know they'll love it.

Cause people read the bottles and don't know how to read the plants.
This kills me; most of the people using those bottles have no idea what's in them or how nutrients actually work. When I tell people that 'cal-mag' is actually mostly nitrogen, they think I'm nuts!

It doesn't take a lot of chemistry knowledge to get on top of nutrients but for whatever reason, people in the cannabis industry seem to have a real blind spot about them.
